We ate there last night after living in Lindsay for 5+ years. Have been wanting to try their prime rib. Went there with 2 seniors, 2 50 year olds, 4 20 somethings, 1 two year olds and a baby. Not a huge menu which was great. Our waitress was very friendly and very attentive to the 2 year old. Two fettuccine alfredos, one liver and onion, one salmon and 4 prime ribs plus the chicken nuggets for the 2 year old. The chicken nuggets were reportedly good and there was 8(?) of them with a large serving of veggies. More food than she could eat but she did eat and she is a picky eater. The 2 alfredos were said to be quite good as was the liver and salmon. Of the 4 prime ribs only one was mostly meat...
I used to come here as a child. Thought id popnin now that im older on my own.I was seated quickly.I had the steak an eggs with homefries toast and beans.Steak was suppose to be medium rare they did an excellent job was fantastic. Really impressed as steak is something I've seen messed up more then a few times.Eggs were perfectly over medium. Homefries were plain but i liked them without so much to them. Simple isnt always a bad thing. Toast was a little burnt but i still ate it all but id say an 1/8th.I normally like to add salt an pepper to my meals. Dropped in for dinner, for two, on a Thursday evening.Ordered the Liver & Onions (with side of bacon)... came with a perfectly done Baked Potato, Butter and Sour Cream .... complimented by Mixed, Fresh Vegetables.Also ordered a Custom Hamburger Plate.Both plates offered generous portions, were tasty, satisfying, and wonderful examples of Home-Style Cooking.Our Waitress was friendly and very efficient.... couldn't ask for better!Value was excellent, too.Highly recommend this establishment.God Bless
Stayed in Lindsay for a family funeral and after searching for a restaurant to accommodate a large group Neabor's was the only one. They were very quick to take a table for 20, the food was all hot and fresh and severed in a timely manner, staff were great, the bills all organized. Our table of 20 on a Monday after noon was served the same as it would have been if we were 2 on a Friday night. The next morning I went back for breakfast. I drove from Peterborough and took my Mom and brother here for supper September 24 before going to Teri Clark show and it was amazing. They both had meatloaf and I had fish. Everything was terrific. The service, the cleanliness and the food. I live in Woodstock Ontario and next visit to Peterborough to see them, I will make the drive to Lindsay for a dinner.Well worth the drive and great value. Next time we'll save room for dessert. Thanks
Neabors Restaurant is a great spot for breakfast , lunch or supper! Love the Eggs Benny on the weekends...the Prime rib supper is a great deal with delicious Yorkshire pudding. The dessert menu is wonderful with homemade individual fruit and cream pies.. The service is fast and the wait staff is very friendly! We love having Sherry as our waitress...she is wonderful! We love coming for breakfast on the weekends, it is very busy!
The food here is not good. All frozen or fired. Its so expensive for what your getting. I ate here with a large group for breakfast and the potatoes were packaged then fried and the bacon and eggs were greasy. I could have made this at home for a fraction of what i was charged. There are other breakfast cafes in Lindsay who make their food from scratch. I wont be returning, the same goes for my associates.
