I had heard a lot of positive reviews about NOFO @ the Pig, so we decided to try it for brunch on a regular Sunday. Our group of four waited about 40 minutes for a table and then another 15 minutes at the table before anyone came to greet us. When the waitress finally arrived, she was friendly but seemed overwhelmed and rushed. The food arrived fairly quickly—in fact, it came out before the drink I ordered, their famous Bloody Mary, which is quite bitter if that’s your taste. Who wouldn't want to dine in an old Piggly Wiggly? If you appreciate fantastic Southern cooking and outstanding service, this is the place for you. The fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese were simply delicious, and the cocktails were equally impressive. The pork chop was absolutely incredible—definitely the dish to order if you're feeling hungry. The shrimp and grits were also delightful, and all the side dishes were delicious. I can't wait to go back for brunch or try one of their daily specials!
This is the most unique dining spot in Raleigh! I absolutely LOVE NOFO! I've been visiting for many years, and I'm so grateful that COVID didn't force them to close! Their Bloody Marys, Shrimp and Grits, and Key Lime Pie are my top favorites! If you enjoy Southern cuisine, great gifts, and a fun atmosphere, you can't go wrong with NOFO at the Pig!
I truly enjoyed the atmosphere. The space was bright and inviting, with charming touches that reflected its past as a former Piggly Wiggly. The food was outstanding as well. However, I took off one star due to the service. Our waitress was somewhat abrupt and made us feel rushed, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet.

Wonderful spot for brunch! Friendly staff and a lively atmosphere. The omelette was flavorful, made with fresh ingredients, and the grits were among the best I've ever tasted.
