After working in Bury St Edmunds I used to pass this establishment usually on my way home from the pub, it looked exciting with its vast selection of breakfasts pictured on the window. Then came the day to try the Northend Cafe for my self, the order was taken and first impression were good because at least the cappuccino coffee was faultless but when the breakfast came I was so disappointed. The bacon had no taste, the egg was a poor size and similar in lacking taste and then the beans were just poor quality rubbish. I had to ask myself do these people who make these meals ever taste what they are dishing up because I very much doubt it. I left never to return.
The restaurant offers superb service with reliable staff and amazing food. I have been dining here almost every day for over a year and have never had a bad meal. The coffee is also fantastic. The restaurant has seating for approximately 54 people, as well as an outdoor area. The management is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They also offer home delivery, which is a bonus. The prices are very reasonable.
clean and tidy,staff a bit iffy,one woman sits behind counter and doesnt move unless she has a customer,the chef looked clean and tidy with a cafe t shirt on,i ordered chips peas and a cornish pastie,the chips were the skinny little ones u get in McDonalds,not nice,no taste,i ate the pastie and peas,but left the chips,the tea was fine tho.
I only ordered a sandwich and a cup of tea, but the staff was friendly and even gave me a heads up about the suspended parking bay. This small gesture really made a difference. The bacon sandwich was delicious, with thick, soft white bread and excellent bacon. The cafe also had a very good hygiene rating of 5.

I go all the time and have many different things off the menu depending what i fancy at the time. Everything comes out looking EXACTLY like it does on the menu. The service is great, really well priced and they are just so friendly in there.
The cafe is nice, clean, and spacious with a variety of menu options that don't all come with chips, which is a nice change. The service was quick and the prices were very reasonable. The drinks and meals we ordered were very good.
After several other locations this is where we meet every two weeks. The staff are always welcoming there is a good selection of foods drinks, especially teas. Food is basic but great value. We will continue to meeeet here.
It’s ok certainly isn’t going to blow your socks off !!! Average food at best gets busy at times and waiting for your food to come after ordering can be a while.

Wonderful service by a lovely lady, who convinced me to upgrade to their northend steak burger. 100% worth it! hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had!!
Very good service staff were very friendly and explained there might be a wait I will be coming again
