I first assumed this restaurant would be just average, as I have high expectations for pasta and pizza, like many locals do. Also, it's a chain rather than a family-owned establishment. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We ordered the spicy rigatoni vodka, which was exceptional, along with the margherita pizza. If I'm back in the KOP mall area soon, I will definitely consider coming back!
The food was incredible! The spicy sausage vodka rigatoni had more heat than I expected, but it was absolutely delicious! If you can't handle spice well, I wouldn’t suggest it. The arancini and chicken parmesan were excellent too. I did order the grilled bread, but it didn't come with any oil, which was somewhat disappointing. Overall, I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again!
I had my first experience at North Italia and decided to order takeout. The packaging was exceptional. I tried the Heirloom Tomato Burrata, Italian Meatballs, Glazed Short Rib Lumache, Bolognese, and Chicken Pesto pasta. Everything was incredibly flavorful and delicious! The restaurant's interior also looked lovely and clean, so we're planning to dine in next time!
The food arrived only slightly warm, and I can't fault the Dasher for that. The pizza was overcooked, with a crust that was burnt and excessively crispy. The pasta was quite oily and overall just average. This will be my last order from North Italia; their quality is inconsistent, the prices are high, and the food simply doesn't meet expectations. I had this item a week ago and it was delicious when I went in the restaurant. Not the same when I got delivery. The portion of meat was way smaller. I liked it fine enough but honestly wouldnt order it again for delivery. For $27 dollars I would expect to have leftovers. The polenta was good, as was the asparagus
The food and service were outstanding, but I was surprised to find that we arrived at 3:30 and the brunch menu was still available. I didn’t realize we were there during their dinner hours. Personally, I think 3:30 is a bit late for brunch. Now I’ll know for next time.
