North Star is one of my favorite restaurants in the west end. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the cafe has a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's a great spot for dining in or getting takeout.

An absolute HIDDEN GEM. I got a quick lunch on a busy Saturday fresh made focaccia and I asked for a wee mug of their homemade mushroom soup and it was sensational. Seasoning perfect, great portion and staff were so sweet. I’ll be back again!
Although the food was satisfying, the service and care was absolutely not! We've waited 15 minutes till the waiter came for us. And then 40 minutes more until the food actually came. Would definitely never go there again!

I absolutely adore the french toast at this restaurant. It is incredibly delicious! I visit regularly and it has become my favorite spot for brunch.
