Oegadgib is the most run-down restaurant I have ever visited. The photos online look much better than the actual environment. While the side dishes were quite good, the potato salad and steamed egg soup were bland and had a noticeable raw egg taste. We were only given the all-you-can-eat menu, presented on a small stand on the table, with no other menu options offered. There were two staff members working at the time—the young waiter was professional and friendly, but the older waitress was off-putting.
As a fan of K-culture, I was excited to try Oegadgib, but my experience fell short of expectations. The receptionist was quite rude, and since we hadn't made a reservation, we were told to wait 20 minutes. When we were finally seated, no proper menu was provided—only small menus placed on the table. We asked for clean, fresh tongs and a grill, but they refused to provide them. To top it off, they forgot to bring our salad. Overall, the service and attention to detail were disappointing at Oegadgib.
This is our go-to Korean BBQ spot in Annandale. Given how much my family eats and my craving for variety, we always choose all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. This restaurant is still one of the most affordable options, with a price of $30 per person. They charged $10 for my 5-year-old and $6 for my 3-year-old. We really love their salad; it pairs perfectly with any of the meats. We usually start with brisket, then move on to pork belly, and finally finish with some smaller cuts.
My new favorite place to have Korean BBQ. The place had a nice comfy feeling. The meat was fresh and the seasoning of the meat was spot on. The marinated steak and the beef intestine was my favorite. I was skeptical if the intestine would be chewy but no, it was soft and didn't have a smell. There was only one dipping sauce but it is so addictive. I had to get a refill. Tucked into the back of a massive parking lot with a small, slightly hidden sign, this Oegadgib spot may not look like much, but it's incredible. While they specialize in KBBQ, their individual dishes are also phenomenal.
