We held mum’s wake at YOBI and i would highly recommend it. Initial conversations held with Pete and Phil, Chef gave me every confidence that they would make the celebration run efficiently but also being personal to our family, I am pleased to say that they did not fail to deliver on their promises!! Phil had great ideas for food options inc. vegetarian and vegan, of which we’ve received compliments. Pete enabled us to put photos on the TV screens and music of our choice on the speakers. Avoid staying at this hotel's accommodation. They advertised free parking, but after registering our details with the owner of the pub upon arrival, we ended up being charged for parking for 4 months. We then received debt recovery notices and threats of court action if we didn't pay up. The owner has been unresponsive to our calls, voice notes, and messages for months, leaving us £170 out of pocket. This level of service and lack of care for customers is unacceptable. Steer clear of this accommodation if you don't want to deal with months of stress and end up paying more than double the nightly rate in parking fines.
We had a wonderful lunch at this charming little place this week. After exploring the Roman remains of Caerleon in the morning, we decided to stop here for lunch before heading back to Newport. We arrived at 12:10 when they were still serving breakfast, so we had drinks and waited until 12:30 when they switched to the lunch menu. We both had a delicious burger, which was fantastic and good value for money. The service was also great. The old pub had a charming, quaint atmosphere with many small rooms and alcoves to sit in. We would definitely come back again!
I have frequented Ye Olde Bull several times in the past and have always enjoyed the menu and variety of options. However, during my most recent visit, I was disappointed to find that many things have changed. My go-to dish, the spicy chicken burger, is no longer on the menu and the food overall is not up to par with how it used to be. Ye Olde Bull used to be my preferred choice for dining out locally, as it offered a comfortable setting and delicious meals. Unfortunately, I will no longer be returning after this experience.

This is without a doubt the best vegetarian breakfast I have ever had! I opted for the full breakfast, which was £10, or you could have just one of everything for £7. I decided to go for the full breakfast and struggled to finish it all! The Glamorgan sausages were homemade and more like a delicious patty than traditional sausage, but they were still amazing. Brunch is served until 12:30 and all the staff were incredibly friendly. The restaurant was also very clean. Thank you, I will definitely be back!
As someone who is not from this area and in town for work, I can confidently say that there is no better place for a delicious burger, excellent service, and a great atmosphere than this restaurant. I have been here three times and I am a satisfied customer. The Angry Bull burger is absolutely delicious. I look forward to trying their desserts next time.
Recently hired the Gin room for a private function bottomless buffet lunch and it was absolutely fantastic! The service was brilliant. Pete and the team ensured our glasses were always full. The buffet was delicious. Lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend thanks for making the day special!
Food was amazing! Tasted really good, only negative comment would be bar drinks are quite flat. I ordered a coke and it wasn't fizzy... Apart from that I loved it!

decent food, standard variable beer and ales. terrible service. one of the chefs had not occurred. they ran out of fish and burgers. the food lasted two hours.
We had an amazing evening at this restaurant. The music, staff, and atmosphere were all perfect.
