My friend and I weren't able to find a local restroom so we were going to this diner. I also purchased several of their desserts on different days of the week. Which some of the cakes were dry, not much fruit filling. We stopped in one morning and were approached by one of the managers, Chris. Never have I been spoken to so rudely. He is rude and has a bad attitude. Telling me the diner is not a pit stop. It is a business. He gave my friend a hard time to and spoke to him so rudely. I ate at this restaurant for 4 days and almost every day was great. I was seated right away, and a server greeted me within minutes of sitting. The food was delivered fast and hot and it was delicious. The only reason it got 4 stars for service is because the last day I was there, the server walked past me 3 times without greeting me and then asked me twice what I ordered. Once the food came, he kind of threw it on the table. Other than that, I enjoyed the restaurant and would definitely recommend it.
I had the most unusual Cuban panini of my life. The food itself tasted alright, but the presentation was very basic, almost like a DIY effort, with pickles on the side and mustard in a packet. What a disappointment! This gastro-pub didn't quite capture the spirit of Castro's cuisine.
This diner is the quintessential experience for the Long Island diner lover. The food is excellent and the staff are jovial and quick, making for a more than enjoyable dining location.

Nasty management, poor wait staff service and no ambiance coupled with COLD French toast and bacon. Lousy! They don’t care if you eat here or if you’re satisfied.
Amazing food, cozy atmosphere. The malt milkshake I ordered wasn't great tho. It just tastes like cold milk and barely had any malt. Will return for the food
