If you are looking for a nice white linen restaurant experience then this isn 't the place for you..... it is a pub with small tables packed in. However, if you are looking for super food, great atmosphere, good banter and and all round fun night, get yourself booked. A hidden gem in Edinburgh. Will be back for sure.

I stopped by for a drink and was very impressed by their Scotch selection, which offers excellent prices starting at just £5 for drams of top-shelf Scotch. The drinks are served in beautiful glasses, making the experience even more enjoyable.

We visited this restaurant on our first night after arriving in Edinburgh. The live music was fantastic, the bartenders were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was excellent. We really enjoyed ourselves!

great atmosphere, good banter at the bar, sat very close to a wry professional sounding Django/Grapelli jazz group, therefore very loud. a nice afternoon to meet friends.

I performed with a jazz trio there last Saturday, and it was such a fantastic atmosphere. The sun came out, warming up the bar, and we had an amazing time playing jazz.

Barony Bar was welcoming and just what we’re were looking for on our first ever evening in Scotland! It was a wonderful fun atmosphere and the food was outstanding!
