The staff was friendly, and the restaurant is dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. However, I found it a bit inconvenient that each drink had to be paid for individually instead of being able to run a tab like we do back in the States.

With its selection of real ales, a friendly and conversational vibe, and plenty of TVs for sports viewing, this spot on the eastern edge of Portobello is a delightful place to escape to.
