Orto Trading Co.

The family and I stumbled across this place as we were scouring the neighbourhood for breakfast. The espresso was ok in comparison to other coffee places in the area. I ordered the ricotta cakes, they were very nice but a bit pricey at$18. My wife ordered a juice which she really enjoyed along with the egg and bacon roll, which for $9 she absolutely loved. Overall a nice spot in Surry hills for breakfasts.

We had lunch with friends and all enjoyed our meals. The layout is great with open kitchen at one end, outdoor tables and friendly staff. The menu is written up on the wall fronting the kitchen and offers good variety. Great atmosphere and food experience.

The food here was really below average, the coffee was good which was a saving grace because the hot cakes were only half edible. Friends got the deep friend chicken breakfast dish which looked as gross as it sounds.

Had a delicious lunch at Orto with colleagues. The service was great and good came out so quickly. Highly recommend the specials, we had lamb shoulder with polenta mash. Highly recommend!

I travel 20km to come here that should say all you ever need to know a perfect place alive and food coffee is awesome .... A pleas to Orto's please bring back sloppy Joes????
