Ottimo - Reservar una mesa

In the good three years when I wasn't in Lindau, a lot has changed here. Not least by the Landesgartenschau and the commissioning of a large-scale, completely oversized station on the mainland. However, the spectacular view from the island to Lake Constance and the Austrian/Swiss coasts are opposite. In the best 1a location, so to speak in the first row, on the southern side of the old island railway station and directly on the busy ship dock, it is now Italian. Although not necessary for the excellent regional specialties – some tourists should feel and want to feel here as well as on Mediterranean stages. Since I already know many Lindauer Local, a visit to the “Ottimo” is now known. Almost over the entire longitudinal side of the building a cozy terrace is drawn from which you can enjoy this beautiful lake and harbour view. Shortly after 18:00 on a southwest warm May evening, the rows are already well occupied, but after a short, friendly reception by a waiter I still have free space choice. I take a four table in the front row, far away from the local entrance – which later gets angry. A menu is quickly brought to me, but then no one will appear for a long time. The thirst is great so I try to ask a waiter for fearful persistence by waving and calling. However, the whole crew is pretty busy, turns around and flicks away. When I finally see an upper part, I am almost inclined to dehydrate and withdraw the place. Then we'll pick up my order. Since the digital terminals seem to fail today, it is necessary to scratch a block again in writing. It can be lost in between. At some point, my food is served, but the drink remains. My calls are getting louder, my voice is a little more unstoppable. In the end, it takes a three-quarter hour until everything is completely on the table. In the period between, the pair complained to the neighboring table stoically well three times the incorrectly delivered drinks. If the food doesn’t fit so well, the man says to the waiter: “Take your boss, he’s best to send the whole band back to Italy.” But now for my food. In fact, the lake has excellent Zander, Egli and rims. In Ottimo, however, more pizza and pasta are told that the meaning is not at all. The Insalata Nicerda (15,90 Euro) is also a solution for embarrassment. And it looks like that. Eat yourself with plenty of pepper and salt tastefully. Would it have been necessary to have a fish cutlery? I'm a little fuzzy. For comfort, the white wine choir, which is later delivered (4.90 euros) from unknown origin, is still very fresh and generously cast. Despite my own deception, the waiter who suffers from severe pollination is particularly regrettable. Smiling and snoringly tortured him past the tables and actually belongs to the audience. I almost try to offer him an antihistamin, but I fear it will no longer be delivered by a loud sedation. In the end, the poor man apologizes for the long waiting period and all inconvenience with several virtual knee cases. But even with his colleagues, nothing really seems to go. During the closing gear on the toilets I discover the splashed chic interiors and do not feel bad. The Ottimo certainly has a lot to do. But what is currently being staged here is rather suboptimal. I leave the place with an dishonest taste and an empty feeling in the stomach. Gottseidank has opened a kiosk on the old island railway station, where I can buy a lot of nuts. And I need antihistamine later.
