A great find!We saw this place as we drove to see Triplet Falls and decided it would be worth a closer look for lunch. It was raining hard when we arrived back and we were immediately taken by the rustic charm of the place - in a galvanised iron shed & part museum, part general store, part cafe. The wood fire was going and it was quite cosy inside. Only a couple of others there. We ordered home made vege soup & a Paleo stack (essentially a burger with egg & bacon without bun). Plenty to keep us amused in the museum & general store while we waited for the food - eating at old Namco tables was a nice retro touch! Food was very good.
We have been going here for a few years now. The atmosphere is excellent with memorabilia of the history of the local area adorning the walls. including photos of giant Otways Ranges hollow trees which house several horses. You could never go hungry with the broad menu of country fair and their coffee is the best, although my wife loves their lemongrass & ginger tea. They also have a range of bespoke locally made chocolates, art works, clothing and nick-knacks. This place is a hidden treasure - do not tell too many people about the place!
We are a couple of Brits who stumbled across this cafe while travelling around the Otway National Park. From the outside it looks like an old rustic farm building, we almost drove by but glad we stopped. Inside you get a great welcome from the owners. The log burner made it cosy and all the retro furniture and nick-nacks together with the logging history was very interesting. The owners could not have been more welcoming on a rather cool day and the grub and coffee was excellent. We're really glad we stopped by.
We didn't want to eat at the Otway Treetop Walk, and because we overshot the turn off to the Otway Treetop walk initially that we found out about this gem of a place. So after our walk, 4 hungry travellers decided to take a risk and turn back into this place to have lunch. It was a excellent decision because we loved the rustic decor, the enthusiastic and welcoming waitress, and the heartening food served to our table!

We went to the nourished for a quick coffee before we visited the Rainforesf nearby. They have a great atmosphere, the wood fire was going and the place has a great feel to it....staff and food are both great too. We went back after our adventures to the forest to have a bite to eat and warm up before setting off for home.
My friends and I sat round a table in front of the crackling wood fire eating delicious food ... on a cold winter's day. It was just perfect! We didn't want to leave.And the home-made jams and local crafts are well worth a look too!
a wonderful eclectic place to stop and have coffee and snacks. A warm fire on a cold autumn day made this a great stop. The photos of the old timber milling days are worth a stop in themselves well worth a stop
Had a late lunch with the family on a colder day, the wood fire was on, the old shed was perfect! We had a yummy lunch and even took desert away with us! Home cooked meals with a smile!

We accidently stumbled upon this rustic gem and absolutely loved the rustic old charm. The staff were lovely and the coffee was nice. Will definitely be back next time!
You wouldn't think of stopping here unless you had insider knowledge (which we did!). Amazing food and very friendly atmosphere in quirky surroundings!
