Palais Keller - Reservar una mesa

We are vegetarian but wanted to have some German food, but it is difficult sometimes to find vegetarian options in Germany. Palais Keller has three Mains plus a special that were all vegetarian. We had mushroom soup, which puréed, creamy, and delicious. Then we split the special Bavarian cheese appetizer which was kind of like a sharp cheese ball that was served with rye bread. Salads came next as they were part of our main we ordered. The salad was beautiful and delicious. Then we both had their special Käse Spätzle, also very good. Ended with Kaiserschmarren, a delicious dessert that is kind of like an oven pancake cut up into bits, covered with powdered sugar, and served with applesauce. The service was friendly and the space atmospheric. The portions are huge! We had to take half of our mains plus most of the cheeseball home, but they packaged it up nicely. My only complain is that they charged 11 euro for a liter of Evian, and 6.5 for a half liter. That seemed over the top to me. A nice evening overall.

Wir waren sowohl zum Mittagessen als auch zum Nachtessen im Palais Keller. Die Gerichte waren durchweg frisch zubereitet und mein Mann war glücklich über die Weisswürste, da es schon nach 12.00 war und es normalerweise in traditionellen Restaurants keine mehr gibt. Das ist wohl ein Hofknicks des Palais Kellers an Touristen und Langschläfer wie uns. Der Service war zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Insgesamt sitzt man urig-gemütlich und wie alle typischen Münchner Restaurants, ist der Palais Keller unter dem Bayerischen Hof sehr gross, aber trotzdem heimelig, da verwinkelt, und so bemerkt man die Grösse nicht.

Von einem Restaurant im Bayerischen Hof München erwartet man eine gehobene Gastronomie, sowohl, was den Service als auch, was die Qualität der Speisen angeht. Unsere Erfahrungen waren allerdings gemischt.Die Kartoffelsuppe war nur lauwarm, die Bärlauchknödel noch nicht ganz aufgetaut (also auch nicht frisch zubereitet). Der bestellte Cappuccino konnte gar nicht geliefert werden, aus nicht nachvollziehbaren Gründen. Die Kalbsleber war voller Flachsen.

Der Palaiskeller ist vielleicht schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, ist aber nach wie vor einen Besuch Wert. Die Küche ist sehr gut, besonders gut fanden wir die bayerischen "Tapas" und den Kaiserschmarrn. Eine flinke und äußerst zuvorkommende Bedienung beriet mit Fachkompetenz und Charme. Ein sehr angenehmer Abend, den wir gerne wiederholen werden!

I can only agree with my predecessor, from the outside not really visible and therefore for newcomers to find something harder. Cool music, especially the afthour, or after aua is recommended for all the people the sunday still have not enough and want to dance.
