Food was horrible. I have been to Pappadeaux many times and the experiences used to be great. The last time I was here was about a year ago and the food wasn’t that great. Tried it again today and it was horrible. The calamari app was cold. Ordered the sea bass with Spinach and it was warm. My daughter had the fried shrimp and fries and the fries were old and cold. Good Cajun food but Pack your patients at this place. It’s always crowded. It’s all comfort food, do not come here on a diet. I’ve been to PAppadeaux many times over the past 14 years. We Arrived early on a weekend and had drinks while we waited over 30 minutes for our table for 4. Typical. Food always come out looking good, quick and hot. It was our first visit to the restaurant. Our server, Joana, along with her partner, provided great service. The food took a little while to arrive, but the presentation was impressive, and everything tasted fresh, as it is flown in daily from the sea. However, the dishes were quite salty; they could benefit from being soaked in fresh water to reduce the saltiness. Despite being a bit pricey, overall, it was a satisfying experience!
We were seated 20 minutes later than our reservation time, and the service was quite slow. Two meals arrived 30 minutes ahead of the others at our table. While the drinks were enjoyable, they were not very strong. On the positive side, both our waitress and the restaurant's atmosphere were pleasant.

This place is a must and the main reason why we make trips to Chicago (we don’t have any in Michigan). We also Uber from downtown Chicago to this place because we love it so much. The alligator bites are a must try! The drinks are also very delicious.
Food and service was fantastic. You need to make reservations far ahead of time. They're short on staff and therefore reservations are limited.
I ordered the Soy Salmon Sangria and it was really good. Fast service and our service was really nice. I'll definitely go back.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous—you'll definitely have leftovers to take home!
