We had a very nice Mother's Day dinner here because I'm the mom and I was craving Italiano. This was a last minute plan and I really appreciate that the Hostess who took my call was so upbeat and welcoming. I enjoyed the dim lighting, candles at the table, and large window view of passersby on the street. This was exactly what I was hoping for and I definitely recommend this place for a romantic date night. The type of restaurant setting that makes me put on a nice dress and some heels. Great comfort food overlooking Main Street! It has become a monthly ritual for my mom, aunt and myself to meet at Pastas for lunch once a month. The ambience is more upscale than casual, and the restaurant and patio overlook downtown Pleasanton's Main Street. My mom and aunt always order the eggplant parmesan with a glass of zinfandel. The eggplant parmesan is delicious and repeatable; which is why they've earned the loyalty of the discerning women in my life! As for myself, I let the waiter choose and have yet to be disappointed. After eating all over downtown Pleasanton, this place has become our go-to. We've been here for lunch and dinner, and tried many of the things on the menu and a few specials. We've tried different drinks, from a glass of champagne to ice tea, and I can't say we've ever left unhappy. They are moderately priced, and the staff is always friendly and kind. They have inside and outside seating, and we have never had to wait. The food is always consistent and prepared well, and is great quality. I wish I had something to complain about, but this is the place we go to make sure we have a good experience!
