My recent afternoon tea at Patisserie Fur Elise was sadly disappointing, mainly due to the food quality, service, and atmosphere. The sandwiches, a central part of any afternoon tea, were notably underwhelming. The bread was dry, and the egg salad sandwich had very little filling, making each bite sparse and unappealing. The cucumber sandwich used hard bread that tasted like generic store-bought bread instead of fresh, artisanal bread. The tea service also left much to be desired. Our teas were mixed up, and the staff couldn’t clearly identify which tea was which, causing confusion.
