I was in Southport with my girlfriend and our black Lab (Cujo). Unfortunately, she wasn't feeling well during our 4-night stay, so it was just me and the dog going for walks, enjoying some beers, and trying out different foods. The staff at the restaurant were excellent, following all COVID guidelines such as table service. Although the beer selection was limited, the ale was quite good. I particularly enjoyed the Veggie Burger I had during one of our three visits - it was delicious and probably the best veggie burger I've had in a while. I look forward to returning next year and visiting the restaurant again.
It feels a bit dated. The staff were really friendly. We ordered some food and it took 50 minutes to arrive at our table. I can’t say if this was normal for this pub or not. Food was nice though! I probably wouldn’t come here again but only because it wasn’t ‘my’ kind of place. Appears to appeal more to sports fans. And they have plenty of screens to watch sports so that’s a good thing!
Away with friends, spent a lot of hours here as we are all sport fans and wanted to watch the Champions league quarter finals. We were looked after by Jo, a great server, friendly and funny, but also very efficient when taking our varied orders. We ate there on the first night also, food was fine, not fine dining but good all the same, exactly what we wanted. thanks Jo
Went to meet family staying in Southport. Parked up at the B M car park opposite. Excellent value beers in the afternoon. Staff very friendly. Dog friendly also which is why I called in. stayed around five hours. We all decided on the daily roast. Tasty and good price. We asked for the racing channel and it was no problem.

I made a reservation at this restaurant so we could watch the England game. I contacted them through Facebook and the staff were very friendly. We ordered the Sunday roast dinner, which was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and will come back next time I'm in Southport.
I often visit The Phoenix for karaoke. Wendy hosts the karaoke on Friday nights and Chris and Danny on Saturday nights. It's always a fun night with a great atmosphere and talented singers. The pub has a cozy feel and is known for its delicious food. The staff are very attentive.
We came here on the Friday after the pubs opened and it was nice to see standards are kept here. The place was spotless,the staff were superb offering table service making sure everyone was kept safe. Will deffo recommend
Went in for a drink ended up having lunch the steak n cheese with caramelised onion was lovely and my hubby had steak pie which was also nice drinks are a good price as well will definitely visit again

Had a very good time here some very good singers beer was very good and reasonable also a good variety of spirits
Toilets disgraceful, often no locks on disabled toilets either. The whole place desperately needs a refurb.
