This place is much smaller than the other locations that I have gone to. It is also one of the few locations that tries to upsell. The first person could not understand me. The second person had no problem understanding me. She also had no problem suggesting numerous other items for me to buy. I asked for their pomelo mango pudding, and I guess they renamed it to something else. I believe she called it a tropical pudding. I usually purchase their mixed fruit tapioca drink, but this time I bought something else that she suggested. It was a rolled mango dessert wrapped in white dessicated coconut. The fresh mango was not sweet and ripe. I should have purchased the mixed fruit tapioca drink.
Be cautious about being overcharged at Phoenix Dessert! Always double-check your receipt. I ordered a coconut mango roll and an original durian roll, but the woman with short black hair charged me for the black sticky rice durian roll instead, which cost 20 cents more. She didn’t mention the change until I pointed it out. Then, she awkwardly pretended to check the fridge for the price, as if she hadn’t just tried to overcharge me. In the end, she only offered a 25-cent refund. Honestly, the food was just average. The mango in the roll was old, soft, and stringy, making it difficult to eat, and the durian roll was soggy because they used frozen durian.
Phoenix is always a top choice for delicious desserts, especially their classic black sticky rice with coconut. This warm, soup-like dish is not too sweet and brings back fond memories of enjoying Chinese desserts as a child. If you're dining with a group, they offer a family-style portion that serves about four people for approximately $15. The staff member who assisted us was wonderfully kind, attentive, and personable, regularly checking in to see if we needed our water refilled. The restaurant has seating indoors, with just one outdoor option. Overall, it’s a lovely place to gather and unwind.
BE AWARE!!!!! This place will intentionally OVER CHARGE the items you buy. Always ask for receipts and verify your receipt before you leave.Even with the receipt they still double charged me and give me a hard times when I confronted them. This is the 3rd times that happened to me ,for sure it's not a mistake and I have to write this review.

I would like to give them 4 stars because their desserts are delicious and the service is quick. They also offer a wide variety of desserts that you won't find in other dessert shops. However, they could improve their customer service by being a bit more courteous and polite when interacting with people.
I'll only be coming back for their durian roll. I absolutely love it, but everything else I tried was just average. Additionally, the staff didn't seem very welcoming.
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I don't understand why some people have claimed the service is poor.
