Amazing dog friendly pub! Atmosphere, croud and staff are 5 star ! Food is genruously plated and I give compliments to the chief kitchen. Multiple lite fires called for a cozy afternoon watching the sun set in the beer garden. We had the pleasure of also meeting the owner, appreciate his time and banter, thank you for having us. Kid-friendliness: Cute little play area for the kids, and a decent amount of food options Price per person: A$20–40
- Mushroom Stroganoff Pie at Riddell Bakery - Tiramisu Tart at Newham General Store - Guinness Pie at Pig and Whistle Hotel (featured here) With 43 different country bakeries, restaurants, pubs, and cellar doors participating, each one has submitted a unique pie or tart. It’s a fantastic autumn activity, and it's less than an hour's drive from Melbourne!
We visited on Good Friday and the experience was absolutely fantastic. Staff were friendly, the decor and seating arrangements were very family friendly, and the food was exceptional. Great pub for a fantastic feed! Staff are brilliant, food is delicious, and six of us loved our afternoon here. Cold beers on a hot day, in a terrific beer garden what more could you want!
