Pilgerhof Rebmannshof

The Rebmannshof lies below the pilgrimage church of Birnau halfway between Überlingen-Nußdorf and Uhldingen-Mühlhofen. It is located directly on the shores of Lake Constance and has a small private pebble beach next to the large sun terrace. So you can take a short bath on hot days before making it comfortable on the terrace. We were here with friends to sample dinner to prepare a day trip with our choir club. Ambience Cleanliness The restaurant is completely quiet off the main road. It is a beautiful old farm in a technical building with several guest rooms on the ground floor and under the roof. The ambience is bright and friendly with subtle decoration. To the rear, the large lake terrace closes to that protected by several large parasols. Cleanliness was exemplary, even the toilets made a well-maintained impression. The men of the service were friendly but quite cozy on the way. Until we were perceived as customers, a number of minutes passed and also during the course of lunch, time was taken again and again before the next stage was started. However, we lacked nothing and so I don't want to fool around unnecessarily. Food Drinking The menu is quite extensive and offers mainly meat and fish dishes with local freshwater fish. This is rounded off by salads and vegetarian offers. We opted for: Peel fillet with potatoes and vegetables Smoked char with potatoes and salad We drank a glass of Riesling and Weißburgunder from Meersburg. The two fish dishes could be considered quite successful, though my wife also complained about many bones in the pie fillet. The fish was fresh and tasty. The potatoes had good own taste and the colorful vegetables from the nearby Reichenau were crisp. My savor was pleasantly spicy, though a bit dry, as it had probably been smoked in advance and only a little warmed up again. Unfortunately, this is not comparable with freshly smoked fish. The salad was as fresh as the vegetables. The two white wines from Meersburg tasted very well. The Riesling is finely acidic and the Pinot Blanc is mostly discreet, but they were both characterized and balanced and well harmonized with the fish. Result Stylish quietly situated ambience with wonderful lake terrace and small bathroom beach. However, a somewhat slow operation and a kitchen that could not fully convince, so was our impression. This was confirmed a few weeks later on our choir trip.

Last vacation! We make one of the first stops at Lake Constance, below the wonderful Baroque church of Birnau, which I always like to visit. The Pilgrim-Rebmannshof officially belongs to Unteruhldingen and imposing through the magnificent location. Here you have a great view of the sea and feel totally in southern areas, almost straight on the Mediterranean... This feeling leads me to an extraordinary choice of dishes, which I dare relatively rarely in Germany, because I simply have special memories of it. I ate the best borillas at the time in Marseille and I prefer to be careful before German interpretations. But today's overmine is actually worth it: the local fish soup is grandiose and comes very close to the original, but I would have to mount a little too little saffron. Best fish have been used, I don't hit any bones and the soup is all very saturating. Toast with spicy pesto is given a great supplement. This harmonizes exceptionally well with the fish aroma. To this we drink a sensational Pinot Blanc from the lake (I think he comes from the state winery Meersburg), whose fruit aromas remind me of pear and pear. 5.20 euros for 0.2 litres are very appropriate. From enthusiasm, I order 0.1 liters again, which is not accepted in all locals, but is naturally fulfilled here. The wine selection from the region is very appealing overall and I would rather have tried more – but this one other time .... I find the very good value for money when eating. Such a qualitatively excellent and saturating Bouillabaisse is not obtained elsewhere for cheap 8,90 euros. In the restaurant we are served very well and quickly – despite plenty of operation. Here is a professional service! I was impressed by the fantastic views of the lake, except for the Alps. The ambience of the house is friendly, bright, dominated by natural materials. I also enjoyed an extra cold counter with jam, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. Here on site, in the Pilgrim and Rebmannshof, you can also stay well and stylish, but during the summer and holiday season is almost always fully booked. I like to come back, because the low season is also very attractive at Lake Constance. And a trip to the Birnau is worth a new one every time!

It's really nice here. Unfortunately, I was eating now where the weather was bad and I think it is worth going there when you can sit outside. There you can enjoy the food and the lake. Inside everything is very clean and beautifully prepared, but it was pulled every time people came from outside. The food is super tasty, but expensive. The asparagus salad and the lake Bouservilla are not very recommended.

The beautiful Hotel Pilgrim with four stars is located on the sunny side of Lake Constance. In the well-maintained ambience there is a good breakfast and a great dinner. The rooms are very good and if you have a lake view, it is even perfect. From here you can quickly get to Konstanz by boat or simply enjoy the beautiful landscape.

... it is a little more beautiful than sitting on a lukewarm summer evening with good friends, delicious food to a glass of cool white wine under trees on the shores of the Lake Constance ....we find it nothing better, so we were often here and every time satisfied and happy
