I love the food at Pinocchio's, its great and some of the best authentic Italian around. However, this is the second time I've been where I've had to wait over an hour for the mains to arrive. It was fairly obvious as other tables who had ordered before us got their meals and we didn't. The waitress seemed oblivious to that and never came to check up on us whilst we were waiting. When our food finally arrived, we asked for parmesan and the waitress promptly forgot, serving other tables first. I've only ever had dinners here and the meals seem earthy with a genuine and natural taste. The pastas in particular have felt that way. The seafood is fresh and always seems to be cooked right. Recently I had the Sizzling King Prawns as entree and the prawns were deeply infused with garlic flavour and the aroma was also deep and pleasing. The mussels and oysters have also been similarly fresh. Recently the main of spaghetti bolognaise was also good.

Have been living in Randwick for years and finally got round to going here for dinner. to say I was disappointed is an understatement. ordering a pizza from an italian restaurant you would expect some sort of flavour and style. horrific excuse for a pizza came out. the base was a packaged frozen one. the meats and toppings were like eating plastic candy..reheated fries also made an appearance which was again very disappointing I can safely say I wont be going back to this place again.
the server who picked up the 3 quarter pizza when we had finished gave 0 interest in our dissatisfaction and simply took the food and never returned. a rating of 1 is an over rate..

Been here several times and can be very hit or miss. Went here on Wednesday night (before Australia Day). I wanted mussels for entree...no mussels. We were planning to share dishes, mixture of past and pizza; only to be told that there was no pizzas on the menu. How does an Italian restaurant run out of pizza dough?! Settled for s marinara as one dish, which surprisingly had mussels. Service was sloppy, asked for water three times and the bill at the end three times. We understand that the place was busy and staff were under the pump, but come on, be prepared for a Sydney long weekend and the fact that the Spot is always busy.
It took a ridiculously long time to even get water and when I told them my friend couldn 't stop coughing and she was starting to freak out they said sorry there 's a bit of a back log ..... of water??!!! They lost perspective on the customer experience and a really simple thing like customer comfort was complacently sacrificed. Everything took a weirdly long time to come out too. They seemed understaffed in the kitchen and the bar for a Friday night. The food was fine but the service was so bad it tainted my experience.
We had a horrible experience at this restaurant recently. We had a 10month old baby at our table and we had placed orders at 6.50pm with our main course served at 8.20pm. The food was average and overpriced although the serving size was good. The highlight of the evening was the attitude of the manager - no apology and a rude response of "Well what would you like me to do?!" My first and last visit to this restaurant....
Really slow service, waited almost an hour for entree, also had to ask for menus. Food was not bad but could do with more flavour, def not worth the long wait, everyone was getting frustrated. We missed another event due to the time it took all our meals. Only plus was the value of the New Year's Eve set menu and price.

Lovely Italian restaurant in the midst of "The Spot" restaurant precinct. Service was fantastic. This is a family run restaurant and everything is made from scratch. Pizza and Pasta both excellent... And the meals are huge!! Highly recommended.
A good restaurant with a wide ranging menu. Great place to eat before or after visiting the local cinema.
