It seems to be a common theme now with Pizza Hut - they are completely cashless, which has resulted in a decline in customer service and standards. The restaurant was dirty, and the staff seemed to lack guidance as there was no customer service to speak of. It makes you question why they still have restaurants at all, as they might as well be takeaway only. During our visit, we watched the staff clear the salad buffet and pick out old bits with their bare hands. It is disappointing to see how this restaurant has declined from its former quality and family-friendly atmosphere. The promise of a simple, high-quality buffet that once appealed to us has now been replaced with bland, poorly maintained salad bars and dry, tasteless pizzas. The overall atmosphere, despite being a fast food restaurant, was lackluster and uninviting. The price we paid for our meal was exorbitant, considering the lack of quality and variety in the food offered. We went for a 25th birthday celebration of 1 of my children. If they hadn't wanted to go there, we would not probably never go back. To start with, the server was FANTASTIC. She was very friendly, spoke to everyone, and made sure we were OK. I really can't say what a credit she is to the team. Ordered online via a qr code on the table. Drinks came quickly. They were out of mushroom and onions, so my veggie pizza was going to be very plain, so I changed it to a margarita pizza. Had to ask for the refund of the price difference between the 2 pizzas, it will take 3 days to get the refund. The salad bar was ok. It's a very, very expensive place for average food. When our young birthday girl chose Pizza Hut at Riverside for her birthday meal, the adults all thought “oh no” due to not too good previous experience. We waited to be served….and waited…..and waited, so decided to order on the app. Pizza’s were tasty but no breadsticks or beetroot on the salad bar, the salad bar looked dull and uninviting to say the least. The staff have minimal customer service skills, the place is grubby. So many bad reviews on this particular Pizza Hut at Riverside which does not surprise me. So many other nice places to eat in this area, it would be no surprise to me if this this place closes down before too long.

Our lunchtime visit here wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible. Had to wait a while for pizzas to come out for the buffet, a few other customers asking servers when pizzas would be coming. Food was good, no complaints really, a few items missing from the salad buffet that I usually like but it was well stocked with alternatives. We were seated near a till and heard the general grumbling from servers which didn’t make for a relaxing lunch with the family but overall the food was good and the service ok.
£12.99 for a weekend lunchtime buffet £8.99 Mon-Fri, what makes the weekend more expensive??? . I walked out feeling i had been robbed! Most of the time there were at least 8 people waiting for pizza to come out. When it did if you didn't push yourself to the front you'd miss out. Kitchen completely unable to keep up with demand. I had 4 slices and a bit of potato salad. Complete daylight robbery! Even the staff member who served me apologised for the weekend cost. Won't be back.
Sons birthday. His choice of chicken off child’s menu not available. Couldn’t swap the chicken from starters for it apparently so he couldn’t have meal deal. No ketchup apparently run out of that also apart from the tiniest amount from dregs of a bottle. Never asked if food was okay. Never delivered sons cake we brought in. So collected it and took home. Used to be lovely in there but with only 4 tables in really dissatisfied with quality availability and service.
We had a party with 12 children. The manager Tracey D was so helpful with organising, timings and getting everything ready so it all flowed smoothly. We emailed the food choices before so that it was all ready when we arrived. The other staff members were all very helpful and engaged really nicely. It made the occasion very special and removed the stress. Thank you so much.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The cinnamon dessert was outstanding. The pizzas were delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. We had a fantastic evening. Thank you.
