When I travel I research all sorts of stuff in advance, including choosing where to drink and have something to eat. As far as Cahors is concerned, I had Le Saint Georges on top of my list as a good option for simple beers and a bit of supper. Granted, it was sevenish on a wet evening when we turned up, so we had to have our beers in the very hot inside lobby (pizza oven on full blast , but the beers were cold and good. We decided to have a pizza as well but saw a sign that advised that, this evening, it was take away only. I ordered a split pizza ..one was mexican i believe and the other Mediterranean. .dont remember well; while the hubby had a chicken wrap ...i have to say..the best pizza ive had hands down in my life..ive never ever had more than a slice in my 28 yrs of life but this...i had 3/4 of this huge pizza ...the olive oil dipping sauce is a MUST...the chicken wrap was outrageously delicious as well..we stumbled upon this accidentally because another pizza store in cahors was supposed to be open but wasnt ..boy am i glad this was the case...easily one of the best foods we both have had on our entire trip...amazing coffee as well. Fantastic place and a bit of a surprise. Small and rammed but they found a table. Really down to earth place and full of locals workers on lunch break. Food was good , really great pizza and very good value for money. 2 kids and 2 adults with 3 main courses and drinks and a single desert just 33 euros which I thought was great. Good honest value food and accommodating and pleasant owner staff. Worth a visit if you need a quick lunch.
What a lovely find! Travelling through France in a motor home this place has ample amount of caravan and motor home parking just outside. We were a table of 4 English friends that speak a little French but not perfect! The host was also the chef, he was extremely friendly and helpful, offered table service whilst dealing with lots of locals popping in for pizza and the food was divine : highly recommend!
