Always saw this place down the road and never really took a chance to stop by until recently, and I can whole heartedly say that I feel so disgusted with myself for have taking so long to finally try this place! My wife and I ordered a Sausage and Peppers pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni and a Caesar salad to start off together. The Caesar salad might have been one of the best ones we have ever had especially with the home made croutons!! The pizza came in with all its perfections and had some of the freshest ingredients. Now, let’s talk about the AMAZING firewood oven-baked pizzas! What makes the experience even better is that you can see the pizzas being made right in front of you. I ordered the Bianca and added some mushrooms, and WOW, it was absolutely delicious! It had the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, seasonings, and oils. Often, when you add extra toppings, they skimp on the amount, but they piled on the mushrooms, making my taste buds incredibly happy! My daughter ordered the pepperoni pizza and exclaimed, “This is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!” My other daughter tried the Sweet Thai Chicken and described it as “complex with unique flavors.” Seriously, stop whatever you’re doing and head...
This restaurant is exceptional! We opted to sit in the outdoor area, which features large ceiling fans that kept us comfortable even though it was around 90 degrees outside. We brought our dogs along, and our server was kind enough to bring them water without us even having to ask. The pizza was outstanding; we tried the chorizo, Fancy Pants, Bianca, More Than Cheese, and the puffy bread with burrata. I highly recommend Pizzeria Cortile for its delicious food and fantastic service. I can't wait to return during my next visit to Chattanooga!
After a brief wait, we finally got to sample their food and drinks. The arancini with pimento cheese was delightful, and the pizza was equally impressive. I ordered the Mr. Potato Head pizza and was genuinely impressed by it. The cannoli I had for dessert was excellent as well. Excellence from start to finish. Great pizza, they source their ingredients locally wherever possible (including their garden out back), great beer cocktail list, and fantastic service. Their Sunday dinner sounds incredible. This place would hold upwell in any major city but here it is doing great things in a small town.
The food was overpriced, portion sizes were small, and it lacked flavor. I was surprised to find that pizza could be messed up to this extent. The restaurant seemed to aspire to a certain style, but it didn't deliver on service or quality, even though the prices suggested otherwise.
