What can we say that sums up this great cafe restaurant in the heart of Konigswinter, and the fantastic service and food provided by Luca and his lovely team?If it says anything, we ended up eating there three nights in a row! The food was fresh and simple in the best ways (didn't try to overdo anything, and benefitted as a result), and if you don't try Luca's home-made Tiramisu then you're missing out - it's just divine (although his panna cotta with strawberries is also splendid). More than that, it was Luca's warmth and enthusiasm for his food, and his guests that made it such a great place to eat. Meat and pizza are ok, although some issues with service and starters.They really have some guidelines. We came a little bit tired and hungry after visiting Drachenburg and Drachennfels, so we wanted to begin quickly with starters and to be ready wait for the main dishes. But this guy patiently waited till the last one of us made an order and only then started preparing our food. Starters and then main dishes came synchronously. Also they came not so fast. So people that ordered only the main dish got it only more then in an hour. IMHO it's not so usual for Germany.Although meat and pizza are quite delicious, starters are a little odd. We nipped in on a Sunday evening for a pizza after a long day out and about. The mushroom pizza and 4 cheese one were hot, good amount of topping and went down well... bases were a little soft.The panna cotta was very tasty - if presentation let it down. The Danish ice cream dessert my husband had was good... the rum in the chocolate sauce very noticeable!I was furious after asking for tap water, to be given a tiny bottle of very over priced fizzy water.. I never drink fizzy water... understanding of English by staff seemed selective - I would have refused to have paid for it but my husband drank it.Maybe it was because it was a Sunday, maybe the tv with the football on detracted from the am...

This place is where you will find real Italian food in the heart of Konigswinter.The owner and their daughters are all real Italian. You can hear them talking in Italian all the time.The result is extremely fresh and tasty food that usually only find in Italy.The portions are very generous, enough for sharing in case you are not extremely hungry.Prices are ok fir such great food.Definitely a place to come back while in town. beautiful restaurant, really nice decor, good service and very tasty eating. they make pizza, pasta and meat and fish dishes. there are 4 stars given because of the extremely limited wine list, of which the bottle wee were very expensive at €36,... the wee through the glass was not so good and a beautiful looking bottle water for €6, more expensive than the beautiful tiramisu desert!

Visited for an evening meal during our stay in Konigswinter the staff were very friendly and explained the menu with some humour despite our lack of German & their lack of English . The food was very good , especially liked the pane cotta & strawberry dessert.

bad....Unreal....11,50 euros for a tiny salad...a joke! Never again..and when you ask for tape water...the server decided not understanding....so he bring a bottle of mineral water... Easy to take 5.50 euros.... No more comment....but will never go back....

it was difficult to find a place to eat dinner in konigswinter, many restaurants closed and there we found nice welcome and excellent Italian cuisine with a lot, the choice Reserva una mesa ahora

This evening was a wonderful surprise when we came across Franco's. Good service, nice people and really good Italian food and wine. We'll be back there soon.
