I’m moving to the area from the US. I’m Italian lucky I found this place. I’ve eaten here at least a dozen times in the last few months as I am establishing myself here. I love this place. Its pure Italian. The owner Luca...is from Italy, speaks Italian obviously serves Italian. Food is very good and very reasonably priced, as it should be for Italian food. I’ve read reviews that service is slow. That’s not happened to me but I’ve seen them get slammed; that’s because the place is that good. Only Luca, a waitress bar tender usually work the restaurant so I guess it could happen that things slow down. I’ve had several of their pasta dishes, all very good. Meat and pizza are ok, although some issues with service and starters.They really have some guidelines. We came a little bit tired and hungry after visiting Drachenburg and Drachennfels, so we wanted to begin quickly with starters and to be ready wait for the main dishes. But this guy patiently waited till the last one of us made an order and only then started preparing our food. Starters and then main dishes came synchronously. Also they came not so fast. So people that ordered only the main dish got it only more then in an hour. IMHO it's not so usual for Germany.Although meat and pizza are quite delicious, starters are a little odd. This place is where you will find real Italian food in the heart of Konigswinter. The owner and their daughters are all real Italian. You can hear them talking in Italian all the time. The result is extremely fresh and tasty food that usually only...find in Italy. The portions are very generous, enough for sharing in case you are not extremely hungry. Prices are ok fir such great food. Definitely a place to come back while in town.
beautiful restaurant, really nice decor, good service and very tasty eating. they make pizza, pasta and meat and fish dishes. there are 4 stars given because of the extremely limited wine list, of which the bottle wee were very expensive at €36,... the wee through the glass was not so good and a beautiful looking bottle water for €6, more expensive than the beautiful tiramisu desert!

We had a meal here on a Sunday evening in February. The Restorante Franco is not very big but quite busy which is always a good sign. We were not disappointed the food was excellent. From a salad starter to a main course of lasagne...for my wife and a pizza for myself we were only sorry we had no room for dessert. When visiting Konigswinter in future this place will be on my list
my partner and I stumbled over this place with a long journey from calais to furth. it was the only place with any signs of life. it is always a good sign when they eat Italian in an Italian restaurant, and it is not disappointed....Love large pizzas and really delicious pasta dishes, we would recommend!
We'd reserved a table, so they knew we were coming. Quite why it took an hour to get our pizzas to us, I don't know. The kids in the group were getting really fractious by the end. When the food did eventually turn up, the...pizzas were really excellent. Nice thin crispy base.
franco have the best Italian menu in queen winter. the owner also speaks a little Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, making communication much easier. also he is very educated and beautiful to speak.

The food here was delicious very friendly staff, on our way back home,from our trip allong the Mosel we stopped in Konigswinter went to this restaurant for our meal, and we both loved our meals.
