I had an extremely poor experience at this restaurant. One of the female staff members slapped my 16-year-old daughter, which escalated into a physical confrontation. The worker accused my daughter of being suspicious with her card and claimed she refused to pay, even though I have her bank statement proving that she did pay. The manager was unbelievably rude, and the staff seemed to pretend they didn't understand English. I would like to speak to the owner about this situation. I am appalled and disgusted by how we were treated.
The food was inedible. It was soggy and leaking everywhere due to the rainy weather, and I felt like I'd thrown my money away. When I called to express my concerns, they refused to help me. The only explanation I got was that it was raining, and they didn’t even offer to refund my money. This restaurant clearly doesn't care about its customers; they only seem interested in making a profit, and the delivery staff don't seem to care either.
This once good deli has turned into a complete garbage dump. My wife went there and when she brought her package home she discovered that they put the wrong order in the bag. A call requesting that they now deliver the correct item was rejected by their very nasty manager who tried to physically intimidate my wife when she returned to pick up the correct order. We will never return.
Whenever I arrive in NYC, I crave pasta and a pastrami sandwich. From now on, I will always be heading to PJ Bernstein's for the pastrami. It was absolutely perfect. The coleslaw that accompanied it was fantastic as well.

Best Bowl of Matzaball soup. Love the whitefish salad Sandwich on rye. Can not get any better. Customer for a zillion years.
The ½ soup and ½ sandwich was huge, and delicious. The team were all very friendly and happy to help.
