Plough Horses Pub Cove

My friend and I visited for the Sunday Roast. Service was good. Did not have to wait long for food and drinks. Pleasant young staff. Was so looking forward to a proper Sunday roast. However, the roast potato's were horrid. When the young waitress cleared the plates from the table she asked how the food was. I pointed to the potatoes which remained on my plate. I told her they were horrible, hard, overcooked and tasted like pre-cooked frozen potatoes. Reply was very sweet, apologised and said that she would tell the chef. The portion sizes were quite generous, but unfortunately, the quality didn’t measure up. The roast potatoes were deliciously crisp, but the vegetables were overcooked to the point of being unappetizing. The chicken breast seemed to be pre-cooked, lacking freshness. The cauliflower cheese was served lukewarm and was rather bland and lackluster. On a positive note, the service was warm and friendly, which was a nice touch. It's just a shame that the food didn't meet the same standard. Price per person: £10–20. Food: 3/5, Service: 4/5, Atmosphere: 4/5.

Wonderfully looked after by Gracie and Elisha today, both were really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed! Compliments to the chef too food was SPOT ON Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Burger

This restaurant offers an excellent dining experience with fantastic food, attentive service, and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the burgers and chips! Plus, there's plenty of free parking available, making it very convenient.
