Never in our wildest dreams we thought we would find an amazing restaurant in Cambridge, Wisconsin, where we stayed for a short escape from Chicago. PLOW's atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, with jazz music in the background. My husband had the special day, a wildly caught, smoked Alaskan salmon with fresh dill and I had the Auberginenparmigiana. Both ducks were great. The smoothness of the salmon was delicious and the eggplant slices were beautiful and thick with a wonderfully crispy dough. We met Charles and Treena Fiesel, the owners, and they opened them to the wonderful dinners and their furnishings, about 8 months ago. Because we enjoyed Charles’ cooking so much, we returned to PLOW for a 2nd straight night and had its delicately smoked Prime Rib Special and an even more amazing charcuterie plate. Charles and Treena (together with his whole family) have a restaurant that is worth it. Charles brings his wonderful culinary skills to the area, and they deliver so much of their ingredients for their menu from their own local farms. Even after a long, hard day in the kitchen, Charles came out to welcome his customers. He and his wife are warm, Greek and generous people. We recommend PLOW!
We came here hoping to have a relaxing diner with our daughter and her boyfriend. It was all that and more! She had pasta, my husband had flatbread pizza, her boyfriend had chicken and rice, and I ordered the deep fried fish (it is Friday). Every single thing was delicious. Our server, Aaron was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. The ambiance was peaceful and calm. I had an exquisite glass of Malbec and my husband had a local micro-brew. We value the farm to table concept and will certainly be returning.
We are so happy to have this beautiful warm friendly restaurant in the city with delicious restaurants in this historic building. We were happy to see them have really expanded the fish seafood menu and it was delicious! I had the cod, which was very fresh and delicate plowries, which grilled not oily, homemade bread, veg and Koleslaw tasted. Mark had the cash that was also delicious with a salad etc. You have a good menu for beer and a large wine menu, also great prices.
This place is beautiful that we had an incredible experience. The smell came in and the atmosphere left us. Nicole was our waitress and was funny and happy. Our food was exceptional. The cook came to welcome us and explains farm to table concept. The food was so fresh and full of taste. It was a jewel!
