I've been a longtime ustomer and usually enjoy eating at Pokeatery. Now, due to the horrible service I received last week, I'm looking for a new place. The girl who waited on me was so unpleasant and sour, she never cracked a smile, barely made eye contact and basically acted as if I was ruining her day or she had better things to do. When l checked out, I had some rewards point that I used. I let her know that and yet once my purchase was complete, she just pushed my container towards me without a thank you. I was so done with her I just left without my free item. I'm hoping that if I give this place another try, she is long gone! Prices have gone up but I always try to support local busine...
Inside the Chabot Lake public market. I gave it a 4 star because its menu choice is more available on veggie choices. Something new to me are kelp noodle and citrus kale as a base. I feel that this menu supports healthy diet with fiber and protein options. For mixed in and sides, I added cucumber, white onion, green onion, edamame and seaweed salad. For protein you can have 4 choices which they have 4 kinds of fresh fish to satisfy my needs. For 15.99 I wouldn't say the price is low but the options are ok for me and I feel like a healthy meal is accomplished.
Finally made my way to the Lake Chatbot Public Market to satisfy my poke craving. For me, a lot of build-your-own-bowl type of poke places do not deliver that same kind of satisfaction that traditional Hawaiian style poke does, but I was pleasantly surprised with the poke from here! I think what really brought it all together are their varieties of sauces. Depending on your taste, these sauces dress the ahi very nicely. I love how generous the portion of these bowls are, from rice to fish to toppings. So good that I crave this weekly!
I tried poke from Pokeatery a couple of days ago. My husband is the one who went to pick it up so I am not able to talk about the cleanliness or ambiance of the place. The food was decent. In my opinion, the food had a very strong fish smell. The sauce was pretty good and the amount of food was decent.

I visited on a slow day in the food court, so only the poke shop and Korean bbq shop were open. The portions were generous but the fish itself was underwhelming a bit dry and flavorless. The sides and toppings held of the flavor and the original sauce was overly salty. Likely not to come back.
This is one of several food shops in a mall like building. Great place to visit and great for groups too since everyone can find what they like. Outdoor seating and some picnic tables inside as well.Food: 4/5
Good food and large portions for the price. The only thing is it feels like going through a cafeteria line. Dole whip floats are awesome, but you really need a straw.
FYI. Pokeatery in Castro Valley is now closed permanently. I believe a new Poke place will open up there soon.

Came here for lunch with my son. About an hour later we both ran to the bathroom. We won't be back.
The volcano was really good and the workers were very respectful.Food: 5/5
