Edit May 2026: Looking a bit run down, with temporary barriers to keep you away from the bridge itself and fly tipped trash in the area. There is hope, though there's a sign letting us know of plans to convert the railway line that passes through the area to a cycle/pedestrian trail so perhaps it will improve. Also: Be aware that it's not as v Gogh painted it. The bridge crosses a derelict lock and has cement abutments rather than the scenic location in the painting. If you're interested in old bridges or van Gogh then you should see this. Nice location for a picnic. Émue d'être ici et de se dire que Vincent Van Gogh s'est posé là avec ses pinceaux pour déposer sur sa toile ce que ses yeux voyaient ou imaginaient... Dommage que les lieux ne soient pas assez entretenus où il flotte ce côté sauvage mais peu rassurant. Je vous invite à vous y rendre.
Il est là ! Dans son jus, sans rénovation, mais il est encore là. Le pont permettant de le contempler est dans un état de délabrement avancé, les planches tremblant fortement ! Une petite rénovation s’impose.

Die Brücke ist noch da und fast unverändert. Es ist sehr ruhig da. Ich hätte mehr Besucher erwartet.
