Pot of Gold Mexican Cantina

Chili con queso consisted of microwaved hot sauce with some bits of grated cheese thrown in. Main meal arrived after 1 hour 40 minutes - all I can describe it as is slop, burrito was claggy slop with frozen (and possibly out of date) chicken bits tossed in - my stomach still feeling weird and hasn't recovered. The chilli con carne was not only visibly not very appealing, but tasted how it looked. Kids nachos were soggy with some weird mince thrown on top. Sorry to say but will never eat there again. Type of crowd: lower socio-economic who probably don't care mich about quality Mexican food?

Used to go here with workmates 20+ years ago and last went there 15 years ago until this week, met up with friends for dinner. The food is very ordinary, not well presented and lacks everything that appeals to me. I know this restaurant gets great reviews but with all the wonderful eateries in Wollongong I really wonder how they can still be open. I love Mexican food, been to many restaurants around the world and this one I simply cannot recommend. Save your money and your taste buds and go somewhere else.

Have only just discovered this restaurant after living here over 13 years. I had a $9.90 lunch special of Nachos. Thought it was tasty and I sat on the enclosed balcony which overlooks the Mall. There are plenty of lunch items to choose from and at a good price. Restaurant inside looks authentic and has a good vibe ;)

Ordered a bean enchilada and chili con queso. The bean enchilada was very tasty and filling with a side of rice. The chili con queso was a bit ordinary just some salsa with some cheese chucked in. The service however, was exceptional and I felt very welcome.

Ummm yeah, dinner here was arranged by friends of mine who wont be allowed to organise a dinner out again.
