The best diner in Oshawa! I can't say enough good things about this place. Great food, great service, great memories. Try anything on the breakfast menu you won't be disappointed! For lunch or dinner, anything from their Treehouse sandwich to a classic cheeseburger and fries and you will leave full and happy. Don't get me started on their Eggs Benedict, which some people drive in from Toronto to have! Go once to say you did, come back because you won't be able to resist! If you live in or regularly visit oshawa and haven’t been to the Rainbow… shame on you.Popped in today and had an incredible meal. Their portions are monstrous and once dropped in front of you, you will quickly see it’s worth every penny.I wanted to get a hot hamburger sandwich but since it was 16oz I thought I’d go smaller and grab the Benedict burger… well the 8oz burger was topped with pretty much an 8oz slab of Pemeal bacon, a perfectly and I mean perfectly poached egg and of course hollandaise sauce.Tip: the $3 side of fries is huge, share jt, you will thank me later.Tip2: the gravy is a scratch made roast gravy and is incredible, get it, you will thank me later.#burgerJoint#burgers#fri...

This restaurant is a local favorite for sure. It has a lot of history and they show it.For me the food was average, the portion were good. The price was too high, as I'm used to being able to get a three egg and bacon breakfast special for $10 or less. You won't find that here.If you like ok food and a lot of nostalgia then this is the place for you. If you want good food at good rates then there are others in Oshawa that are better suited.Parking: There is a possiblity you might have to pay for parking depending on the day. There are parking meters.

This spot is so special. My partner and I came for breakfast on a rainy day while we were camping in the area, and it immediately brought me back to being a young person in my hometown breakfast joint. The walls are lined with photos of smiling faces, the staff are fast and kind, the prices are okay but the food is great. If anyone is from Halifax and misses the community energy of the old Mary’s Place cafe, this is a good place to capture that spirit (or at least, I couldn’t help but reminisce! . My husband and I absolutely love the food at the Rainbow Restaurant. It's hands down one of our absolute favorite breakfast spots. The peameal bacon is hand cut and literally the size of pork chops! We are big eaters and are never able to finish even half of our plate of food.

My partner and I eat here practically every Saturday and Sunday. We absolutely love the Eggs Benny... Service is great , portion sizes are huge and quality is amazing. I highly, highly recommend !

Huge portions of delicious food served with friendly service. They make you feel like a regular customer on your first visit. I had guests from out of town and they were blown away.
