Red Hart - Reservar una mesa

From our arrival for a pre booked table the evening before, we were greeted with there is no booking in the book,from one of the girls serving, note Jill was not here tonight.The girl who should have booked it was not working Friday night, so could not be quizzed. We did see another table that was free and asked if we could take it, so told yes. We ordered some drinks and took some menus to peruse and after a while I had to ask for someone to take our order. We were told that some one would come when they had finished serving other customers there meals. After driving up from Buckinghamshire to Retford for the day, we were recommended to have lunch at the Red Hart hotel. We drove straight there without thinking to check the website, and went in and were seated. We were served drinks and asked for menus to be told they were only serving food after 5pm. The chef was so helpful and even offered to call another Pub to see if they had a table for us! A few minutes later he comes back and said that he has spoken to the owners, and has decided fo open the kitchen early (about 1pm) as we had been recommend to eat there he didn’t want us to have to go somewhere else.The food was delicious, and the lady serving us was so attentive and friendly. Excellent lunch at the Red Hart. The hot club sandwich with coleslaw and salad was delicious and very filling...didn't need the cheesy chips but so glad we ordered them. A lovely pub and a lovely lunch...shame we don't live near and were just passing through

came saturday for a meal and it was beautiful, both meals were excellent,red hot and fresh, very accommodating with additional items on the dish, definitely worth the price,dined in all the pubs in this area and by far the best

lovely to be back at the hart,great food as always and,definitely has all the necessary covid regulations in place, shame the blonde/pink barmaid hasn’t learnt any peoples skill during lockdown
