Today, I had lunch at the pub on June 8, 2018. Gary, the landlord, greeted us warmly and remembered us from our previous visit at the miners’ pub. The restaurant has undergone some renovations, including the kitchen, the outdoor area, and even the restrooms—definitely a must-see! Gary and his chef really know how to set the standard for what a great pub should be. Just a heads up, the pub has limited indoor seating, but there are plenty of outdoor seats, so it’s best to make a reservation to be on the safe side. Best pub food in the area, would highly recommend it to anyone fancying some good homemade food. Very flavourful and lots of it! The price is a-little higher here compared to other local pubs in there area but definitely worth it! The service was great, very polite, quick and happy! So it definitely worth taking a visit if you are passing by! Plus they have a wide range of our favourite beers!
I had an amazing dining experience! I highly recommend the Roarburger—it's the juiciest Cajun chicken I've ever tasted. It's definitely the best dish on the menu. Gary, who manages the front of the house, is fantastic—really friendly and chatty.
What a delight. There are times when you enjoy great food, others times you sampled great ale and just occasionally you receive a warm welcome. Today at the Red Lion we all enjoyed the hat trick. Hats off to them for a real treat. Cheers

Had lunch at this village pub with family. Food was very good..Simple menu, but covers most peoples tatstes. The Lion Burger was very good, with a home made patty,, bacon, and cheese, with a Chilli Jam. Really couldn't fault it.
Absolutely fantastic to have a village pub back x Sunday roast was amazing, great atmosphere staff are so friendly welcoming. Looking forward to lots of fun times ahead at our local XX
Great atmosphere, 4 different meals, each of us enjoyed our meal, tasty and good sized portions. Staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. We shall return.

Tasty food and amazing prompt service, sat outdoors in lovely sunshine. Soup of the day leek and potato is amazing!
