Remvi by the Bay - Reserva de mesa

I came here for dinner on a weeknight the restaurant wasn't busy at all service started out really prompt and fast we we ordered drinks and an entree and these came out very fast as the entree was served we ordered our mains. we then waited around half an hour before our plates were taken and then another half an hour for the mains to be served. this seamed to be rather long when there wasn't anyone eating and the waiter/owner was too busy talking to the one other table that had finished dinning. Food was average fair price. but when the mains came out parts were cold and other parts were really hot. its restaurant is a big space and i would come back but if the service was the same as this...

Disclaimer, Saturday night, restaurant very full. Four in the party had the Banquet, others had grilled occy (very tasty), souvlakia(OK), gyros (fine) and vegie rice dish (tasty). Bread, lemon potatoes and grilled calamari were outstanding, rest was OK to meh (cold saganaki in a cold iron pan?). Forgot the Greek salad.Staff was pleasant apart from one incident where they wanted to rearrange the way we were sitting to put all the banquets together. Service a bit hit and miss and timing of courses variable.Reasonable prices, nice venue but very tight when full.

Fantastic food...particularly the chicken and calamari - they were so tender and moist... we shared the $55 Banquet & there was more food than we could possibly eat so they packed our deserts to go as we rolled out of the place. The staff were very friendly & the service was good. If I was to get really picky .... maybe some background music would have been nice, but otherwise lovely atmosphere and a friendly family feel to the place. This has now become my favourite Greek restaurant.

Tonight we went to Williamstown for dinner. We turned up at Remvi By the Bay without a reservation and although they were busy they found a lovely table for the four of us. We had the $55 banquet which was beautiful. The lamb was awesome, the chicken was moist, and the seafood was plentiful. A very generous meal for all and the service was excellent. We had a family meal at Remvi and the food was just fantastic. We cannot rave enough about it. Not one person had a fault to mention in what they had to eat. Even down to the coffee! We don't mind paying for good food and plenty of it on the plate. The Greek flavours are beautiful. Oh and excellent device to boot.

Tarama was great but the calamari could have been bought from a supermarket freezer! Scored with seasoning!! Really guys?? Greek?? Fresh calamari lightly floured and flash fried, that's Greek! $28 for something I could have bought and put in the oven myself for $8!! Not good enough....

The food here is wonderful the meat and fish platters have ample food on them and the service is always terrific the staff here the most wonderful they will cater for anyone. I highly recommend coming here as the atmosphere is wonderful the place is always full.

Remvi By The Bay is my favourite restaurant in Melbourne. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. The Piatella Kreatika (Meat Platter) for two is excellent and best washed down with Mythos or three. Reserva una mesa ahora

Strolling by and walked in on a whim looking for a Yiros or Souvlaki. Very generous serving, extremely tasty, promptly served and on my way quickly. The BBQ flavour in the lamb they served is what you long for in Melbourne Greek-styled food.

Lovely kebabs with a generous amount of meat. I had the mixed kebab...beautiful! Will return again for sure.
