Restaurant Lotus D'Or

The place is dark, but not dirty. large fish tanks split the dining room in half, and can be seen from both sides. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is assorted and quite good. The quantity is substantial, well presented, and flavourful. It is a bring your own wine establishment. The prices are reasonable, and this is a place where I would and do go back often enough to have tried many of their dishes. They also have a fine terrace to eat on, and there is ample parking on the street and in back of the restaurant. Reservations is a good idea

First of all, trying to communicate Gluten-Free, with a lady who barely speaks french, and changes her stroy every few minutes, not cool... i ended up very very sick after eating there, as we could not understand eachother on if a sauce had gluten, and that if it did, we'd need to make it without sauce... second, it was not very good tastewise, and our service, was, as i said not so great... all in all, i left very disapointed, and sick.. not on my go again list for sure...

Atmosphere seemed nice but with MSG IN the food we had to go elsewhere. Food seemed more chinese from the menu and less Thai. If there were English speaking waitresses there we did not get one nor did our waitress go get one. With the language barrier she seemed rude...and impatient with us... thankfully we were patient and remained so until we got the answer to our question.

We just ate there 5 mins ago and were appalled by the level of poor customer service (rude and lazy). Food was bad too. They spilled our glass of water all over table and just tossed us napkins to clean it up ourselves!

The soups and appetizers were good, but dinner was an absolute mess.
