Should've listened to the negative reviews. The food wasn't well packed, most of it already cold. The lunch special j chicken was a single piece of chicken for $6, lunch special shrimp was a small handful for $6, Rasta pasta was undercooked, no flavor, barely any sauce, just underdone penne with a little white coloring for sauce. The j chicken tasted burnt either it was burned or cooked on a dirty grill or burnt. Shrimp while not rubber lacked flavor and I never got my oxtails but the goat was just salty oily that two bites was too many.
My coworkers and I ordered lunch from this place, and it was quite disappointing. The food was bland, the shrimp was overcooked, and the mac and cheese was possibly the driest I've ever had. It seemed like they just boiled some macaroni, added butter, and tossed in store-brand shredded cheese. Overall, it felt like a waste of money. The restaurant wasn't clean either. I’d recommend heading to Ben's Crab up the block instead.
My Grandson Trey has been talking to me about Patches Kitchen for weeks. It's a shock I can even write this cause I am so full. The food is so delicious and not SALTY ! Everything was so fresh- The Chicken wings with Honey Garlic sauce was so tasty as well at the Oxtails with rice and peas. Sweet plantains are a compliment. I must try the Rasta Pasta next time. This place is a must try ! Good job fellas !
I'm not sure if there has been a change in management, but my jerk chicken with Rasta pasta was fantastic. For just $13, it was a great deal. The chicken was juicy, perfectly spiced, sweet, and practically falling off the bone. The Rasta pasta was exceptionally well made and looked completely different from the pictures in the other reviews. I recommend giving them another chance!

Please save your money. I am insulted by what I just paid $63 for. I bought the $50 seafood boil bag and a side a Rasta pasta. I had to throw the Rasta pasta away and the seafood boil though flavorful, did not have the items it advertised. It breaks my heart to leave such a review. Unless they're able to get it together, I would save my money. Grossly overpriced with scarps!
The famous wings are to die for! Every time I'm in the area I have to stop and get some. I've also tried the seafood boil which was delicious and came with a lot of food. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I was only coming in to pick up an uber eats order and the manager gave me huge free samples to take home! Now thats how you bring a repeat customer in! The food was pretty bangin’!
Worst service I have ever experienced, dirty as hell, food is tasteless and dry. Never had Jamaican food this bad. Made me call the owner and tell him what I ordered for no reason.
