This was the second time I brought a group of more than 40 people to this fantastic restaurant at the shore of the Rhine River. I thought it a bit daring as we had been here some 2 years ago and I seriously believed that the great meal we had there could not have been bettered. Well, I was wrong. We arrived and everything was decorated in a Christmas theme, the ambiance was more than inviting and after settling down, we were served our goose ("Christmas Dinner") that not only looked appetizing, but that tasted more than excellent. We decided to use this recommended restaurant for our "German Christmas Menu" when visiting the area with a quite large group of Rotarians. We could not have chosen a better venue. This Restaurant is excellent, the presentation and ambiance was memorable and the food absolutely outstanding. The portions were generous, the service experienced by us was unbelievable and - which does not happen too often- was enthusing about this meal. I would surely recommend the Rheingenuss to anybody and should we, if time allows, return to the area in future, we will most definitely come back, both, with our group and also when travel individually. Welll done! We had a great and memorable time.
The Rheingenuss is situated right at the ferry crossing for Bad Godesberg to Niederdollendorf / Königswinter. It has a nice terrace overlooking the Rhein and is fabulous for drinking beer on a sunny afternoon. The food is typical of regional North Rhine Westphalia. We thoroughly enjoyed the Himmel un Ääd (a blood sausage served with potato and apple puree - don't let the 'blood sausage' scare you, it's delicious). The Rheinischer Sauerbraten in Rosinen-Mandelsauce serviert mit Kartoffelklößen und Apfelkompott is also delicious and highly recommended. They also feature seasonal specials, such as a special fish menu around Easter.
We chose this restaurant because of the good view of the Rhine when we arrived, we were brought to our table where the masks were allowed to take off. After we had ordered at the friendly service and in the waiting period we were more kindly asked for new drinks more often, we received our food, which was very delicious and beautifully dressed. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who puts an eye on delicious food and a good look like a beautiful ambience

Dined with a party of 51rotarians and friends. Food excellent, plentiful and well presented. German red wine (€25 per bottle) but very acceptable taste. Had consomme soup, main course duck, huge portion, red cabbage and dumplins followed by sweet of ice cream, cake and plum fruit. Beautiful views of the Rhine from restaurant. Staff friendly, professional and excellent service. Well done to all of tnem
The restaurant has very nice views over the Rhine and the ferry to Bad Godesberg. We could't use the ferry, as we intended, because of some technical failure, and had to lunch here. The traditional dishes are well prepared. Very good deserts too. Service is friendly. Not overly expensive.
The upper was pointed out, again gave the feeling that the customer is king! Food excellent, which wants to get regional delicacies such as heaven and earth with fried blood sausage or real Rheinische Sauerbraten- heavenly
The river runs just a step from the terrace of this cafe, where our supper was served in the open air. Delicious dishes, and not expensive for a cafe at the heart of this interesting town. The schnitzel was superb!

Very nicely located on the Rhine, large selection of dishes and very tasty. The service was excellent with very good wine knowledge. Price/performance absolutely ok. I'm back.
