Rice Bistro Sushi At Aspen Grove used to be Gigis', which was known for its amazing cupcakes. When the name changed, they claimed to keep the same recipes, but after several visits, I’ve decided not to waste my money here anymore. The cupcakes are consistently dry. As others have mentioned, the service leaves much to be desired. Every time I’ve visited, the staff seemed to be in a bad mood. Poor cupcakes paired with poor service is not a winning combination. During my visit at 6:30 pm, an hour and a half before closing, they had only one cupcake left—typical of the low energy atmosphere. Let's fast forward to a year or two ago when 303 Bakes rebranded as Butterscotch Grove. Unfortunately, it seems that the quality has really declined. We've been to the new location several times, and each time, the staff has been unfriendly and impatient, no matter the hour. The cupcakes, despite assurances that the recipe hasn’t changed, are quite disappointing. Overall, the business has shifted from a small establishment with a professional touch to something resembling a grocery store bakery. We're going to be looking for a new favorite spot from now on.
I've had a mad sweet tooth since the day I was born, and cupcakes are basically my favorite food. Butterscotch Grove is THE BEST. I live less than two miles from the Aspen Grove shopping center where they're located, and rarely stop into the shopping center without going to Butterscotch Grove. The cupcakes are dense, moist, and unfailingly delicious. My favorite is the cookie dough cupcake, but I also love the confetti, wedding cake, and butterscotch cupcakes. All of them are great. I highly, highly, highly recommend this place.
We are huge fans of this restaurant and have been loyal patrons for many years. Their cupcake and frosting recipes are outstanding. Our only suggestion is that the amount of frosting has diminished over the past year. We really love their frosting, which used to generously top each cupcake, but now it only covers about half of the cupcake. If the frosting were as abundant as it once was, we would definitely give this place five stars.

I tried a German chocolate cupcake with a filling, and it was delicious. It was midday on a Saturday, so the selection was a bit limited but still had plenty of options. If I could, I’d try everything! Each cupcake, brownie, or cookie costs around $5. They could benefit from having a bell at the counter to alert staff when someone is waiting, as the employees were busy in the back. Aside from that, the staff was very friendly.
I was in town with my wife for a wedding and decided to check out this bakery. The cupcakes were absolutely delightful, and we ended up buying four of them. The salted caramel cupcake was especially amazing—so moist and full of flavor. I really wish we had a place like this back home!
I enjoyed my snickerdoodle cookie and my husband enjoyed his butterscotch cupcake.As a person who really enjoys cakes and loves to bake I don’t think it was out of this world and The way they do their frosting is odd. It was like they lacked the confidence to truly decorate the cake.
The strawberry cake, baked with fresh strawberries and filled with strawberry compote and strawberry buttercream, is absolutely wonderful—my child will love me forever for it. The oatmeal scotchie cookie sandwich is delicious and perfectly balanced, not too sweet at all.

This lovely little shop features an appealing variety of cupcakes, including a vegan option and several gluten-free selections. They also serve coffee. We visited with a group of adults with disabilities, and everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the delicious treats.
