Located just off the ferry dock in Fulford Bay, this quaint little bar and cafe offers a great selection of seafood and other fare.We drove the 15 minute scenic road from Ganges to this spot on the south end of Salt Spring Island based on the good reviews on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. I had the mussel and shrimp bowl, my wife had the shrimp, and my granddaughter enjoyed the poutine and potato soup -- all were delicious and generous portions presented in a simple and straightforward manner. We were so impressed that we returned the following day for breakfast and again enjoyed fresh fried eggs, home style fried potatoes, bacon and wonderful maple sausages. Our teen aged granddaught...

This seems to be a multi function restaurant with a cafe style in the front and a casual restaurant off to the side and patio. At the time we went, the washrooms were out of order and our meal took an hour to get to us but even with all that, the owner came out and took our drinks off the bill and continually apologized for the delay. We had to use the washrooms at the ferry terminal but it was a short 5 mins walk so not too bad. I had the pulled pork nachos and yam quesadilla and everything tasted awesome. The only complaint is that I had to use a fork for the nachos near the bottom as the chips became soggy but they still tasted AMAZING. The fence was rather high on the patio so we didn't...

Maybe the experience would be better if you have the time to wait and enjoy yourself. But we were on a very limited schedule as we had a ferry to catch. We specifically asked if we would have enough time to catch the ferry, and they said yes. However, in the end we ended up leaving cash on the table and rushing out as it was impossible to even flag down our server. Our waitress was rude, disinterested, and slow. It was impossible to get any semblance of service. They were also very understaffed for a busy morning, which is simply shocking. My suggestion for management is to actually have enough staff for the early morning rush. As it stands, I have to give this a one star simply for the bad...

My wife and I ordered the Fisherman's Breakfast and the Rock Salt Breakfast respectively. My wife decided to add an order of mushrooms and roasted tomatoes to her breakfast. Both meals were tasty and lots of food. We both enjoyed the mushrooms and tomatoes and the eggs met my wife's high standard. We sat at a water view table and the service was pleasant and efficient. Prices were reasonable. There is a sense of a more relaxed atmosphere that you can expect on an island. Reserva una mesa ahora

We stopped by on a locals recommendation and managed to get a little table right by a window overlooking the bay. We started off with some drinks and then ordered the shellfish bowl with fries and the Bombay surf. The food was brilliant, so much flavour and you could tell all the ingredients were super fresh. Definitely one of the best meals we've had on our 2 month trip around Canada. The server was really friendly too and nothing was too much trouble. Well done!

Was there on a Sunday morning for brunch, it took about 40 minutes for a manager to come over and finally acknowledge us and take our order. The server working that day refused to even look at us, let alone speak to us. But tables all around us were being sat, greeted and having orders taken, just not us. Very rude!

Parked our car while waiting for the ferry to Victoria and had lunch at Rock Salt. The seafood chowder is fabulous as was the shellfish bowl. Kid's menu is available. Food did take quite awhile to come so leave yourself ample time if taking the ferry.

Great food, very close to the ferry. Wonderful service and interesting decor. It was very hot when we were eating inside; try to get a table on their patio.
