I made reservations for my birthday brunch. While the building and decor is beautiful, that was the only positive aspect of our experience. We requested and they ok’d outdoor reservations, but then sat us inside due to all the tables outside being dirty. We received the worst customer service. Literally had to chase the server down for anything. It was 15 minutes before we were even able to ask for water or drinks. Then it was another 15- 20 minutes of waiting before anything was received. This restaurant has really declined over the past 8-9 months, and we're extremely disappointed! Who serves waffles with the syrup already poured on them, making them soggy right away? The chicken lacked seasoning, and the syrup wasn't flavored with lemongrass as advertised on the menu. The crab cakes in the Benedict had a fishy taste, which is quite unusual for crab meat. The only options available to sweeten the coffee were sugar cubes and Equal, neither of which I've used in over twenty years. The place was nearly empty, with just us and two other couples. left 3 stars not because of the food...the food was very good, the veranda seating offered a great atmosphere and laid back setting for a birthday gathering...the manager was super friendly (thanks for the coffee) and knowledgeable about the menu, building, handcrafted coffee and adjoining businesses...our server was top notch, helpful and personable... the only hold back I have is the eyelash on my plate...when I pointed it out to the manger she was profession and understanding, offering to bring something to offset the issue...if you like coffee you will love their pecan brew...
Extremely disappointed! I guess the first mistake was not having a reservation. The drinks were super, didn't have anything that I really wanted and then, after placing our order, the bartender/Waiter came back and said that their system went down and they didn't have our orders in. This was 25mins after we placed our orders..... They fit us in on short notice and then sized us up and decided that they did not want to serve us. Period. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!!! and I will NEVER be back!

Nice brunch spot, excellent duck confit, Mandy was very kind and helpful. Cool 20th century vibes, nice patio area. My only critique is that the OJ tasted like Tropicana. I’m all about fresh squeezed.
Went for brunch. Food and staff were exceptional. Amazing biscuits, wonderful **** mary, and egg dishes (particularly the Gulf Omelette). Light-filled dining room. Want to go back for dinner.
Great first experience here! The staff was incredible and the food was even better. I went for brunch and it’s a must try in the Birmingham area! The cheesecake French toast is to die for.
The service experience was one fumble after another and it felt like there was no head coach around to direct the staff. The food was mediocre. I don’t think I’ll be back.

The food was decent but the prices were very high and the service was very slow. It took us about 3 hours to get brunch and cost over $100 for 2 people with a few drinks.
Nice atmosphere. Staff did there best considering the number of people during brunch hours. Food was not fresh nor hot and the menu is very limited
