We were celebrating a friends birthday, and he chose this restaurant because he walked past it the previous day. What a find ! We ordered a few starters to share and the tabouleh and the falafel in particular was the finest I have ever eaten. We ordered 4 different mains and we were all delighted with the quality and flavour of each meal. The portions were also very generous. Mohamed, who looked after us, was attentive, completely in control and made us feel very comfortable. To top it off, to get food of this quality for the price charged is very unusual. If you have yet to experience Lebanese cuisine, or are already familiar, this restaurant will not disappoint in either case.
I’m sure I’ve written a review before but this was so good it deserved another one. My family come here on every visit to Brighton and it never disappoints. Indeed I’m surprised it’s not busier as the food is very good and cheap. Great relaxed ambiance too. Despite not being here for two years the host remembered us, a nice touch. Mixed meze for 1 is a great starter for two people, my wife had the lamb tagine, I had tagine lamb kebab, both delicious. With my child getting a kid’s portion and no corkage for the wine it worked out £41 before tip. Absolute bargain.
Friendly restaurant warm welcome and helpful polite servers. Clean, well spaced tables. We liked the fact that, although there was pleasant music in the background, it was not too loud. We had lamb tagines, which were delicious. However, be very careful they were served bubbling hot. I burnt my tongue. It's still sore next day! Only later, after we had left, did we realise we had not received the Lebanese bread we had asked for.
Service was friendly if a bit chaotic. Starters of moutabal and chicken livers were good but the tagines were a joke. Both clearly were precooked stews, lacking much flavour. One claimed to be cooked with prunes, the other with preserved lemons but what a disappointment. The fruit was not cooked within the dish but simply added on top. No subtle flavours, simply bland. Not my idea of tagines.

Dropped in after seeing the welcoming glow of lanterns and there wasn't any load music eminating from the restaurant , glad we did the food and service was amazing, we will definitely return, friendly waiter and manager,we were able to take our time and didn't feel pressured to leave after we had finished eating
Excellent quality food, the waiter is the best, the food is not expensive, the atmosphere is very nice, and it’s an Arabic restaurant and halal. There is a TV you can watch if you want to. The average price it 10 to 15 pounds. And if you come to Brighton you must visit it.
This restaurant is such a gem! Food is such a great value. We had a vegetarian meze for two with a beautiful presentation and a great selection of dishes. Also, they are BYO , so we brought a bottle of wine. All in all fantastic service. Highly recommend :
Great restaurant and fabulous service. Highly recommended. Brilliant choice of food. Just amazing tasting food. We will be visiting again very, very soon for birthday celebrations....can't wait.
