We stayed for one night in August with our two Westies! Fist impression were good,nice reception area,and a lovely dining room. However for 165 euros (room only) I expected slightly more than just a room the size of a storeroom! We had travelled over 250 miles,and although the weather was cloudy it was still nearly 30 degrees,so we fancied a swim in the outdoor pool,unfortunately for some reason we couldn't as the pool cover was on! Dinner was ok,although when having aperitifs on the terrace ,we had to ask for an ice bucket,not once but twice for our bottle of wine,needless to say it still didn't arrive,so I had to take someone else's when they had left their table,not ideal for a place with...
This is our third Georges Blanc restaurant and they looked after us well. It was our wedding anniversary and I'd asked for a bouquet of flowers for the table which were presented beautifully after we had sat down and we had a very pleasant meal in fact I think we were the last to leave the restaurant. I still think Le Centre in Lyon, is by a small margin, the best of the George Blanc restaurants I've visited but I'll reserve final judgement until we've had a lunch here. The Rouge Noir restaurant welcomed me with a big smile and lots of attention throughout the meal, despite my late arrival. I was pampered, and the service was ultra fast. Maybe it was the privilege of being the last customer? The dish was perfectly mastered: perfect sea bass cooking and seasoning. Obviously, for dessert I saw the words “chocolate” then “Valrhona” and I fell for it. Very good but a little expensive (12€ . In short, a great experience, in a very pleasant setting as well.
A beautiful address in Beaujolais! The kitchen is excellent. The best meurette eggs ever eaten! Perfect sauce, fine cut bacon and fresh mushrooms, perfect cooking of eggs! A treat like the rest of our dinner. The service is a bit clumsy sometimes, but provided by young people in training, they are forgiven, they deserve to want to work in this sector, let's encourage them! The wine map is also beautiful at very reasonable prices. We will return, it's certain, and quickly, I hope.

A pleasant and flexible service that adapted to our requests for the anniversary. The food is good, and the terrace is pleasant for aperitif and children. However, the cutlery provided with meat was not suitable and therefore not easy to enjoy these dishes. The champagne served was also corked, hardly acceptable given the setting, the price and especially the name of the establishment, even if it was replaced. We pay the manager's frame and name, but it's working.
Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our host. Altogether an average experience. My husband had the quenelles which were as expected. my chicken was undercooked toward the bone. We asked for an aligote wine but received instead a chenin Blanc. Very disappointing. For dessert we ordered the cheese plate which arrived out of the refrigerator on an ice cold plate. Not what we expected at all. Will not return.
it is a very nice address; the terrace is very pleasant. the view of the landscaped park and very well maintained contributes at a pleasant moment. excellent choice of dishes and desserts. service is of quality. small excellent restaurant!
