Pick up order. This place has gone downhill a lot. It used to be great, but it has been steadily slipping for about 3 4 years. A dish that was ordered without garlic even said so on their copy of the order was loaded with garlic. The Pad See Ew was all stuck together in a solid clump easily the worst Pad See Ew I've ever had. My grandson, who I've seen devour almost an entire order himself ate about 6 bites. A mixed vegetable dish of carrots, tomatoes and mushrooms was easily 1/3 onions. We order from here because they are so close, but we need to stop,
We just tried this restaurant for the first time and it was a wonderful surprise. Service was friendly and quick. We ordered a green curry, which was delicious. The Tamarind beef dish was so tender and tangy with the tamarind sauce and the chicken and cashew dish was out of this world. So many vegetables and fresh pineapple. We just loved all the flavours and are looking forward to going back with a bigger group so we can taste more dishes and have a larger variety on our table. Btw, it was also very reasonable. Great family restaurant.
My family and I were the only one at the restaurant at that time, it was probably because of the time, which was 1pm at that time. I ordered the pad thai and they were a little bit too oily and too much noodles for my taste. The waitress was nice and delightful, she didn’t rush us like some other restaurants do. General decorations seems quote nice and the restaurant was generally clean.
We've been patrons of this restaurant for about two decades and keep coming regularly. Long ago when Thai food wasn't that popular yet Royal Orchard helped us to establish a high standard of what to expect. In our opinion it has one of the best pad thais and tom yum goong soups we ever had, and we've tried lots of Thai places. The restaurant is authentic and offers a good value.
We went here a few weeks back and the food was not what we remembered from a few years ago. Pad Thai was bland and dry and tasted like it was seasoned with ketchup. Pad Thai? More like Sad-Thai! Basil chicken was mostly onions and zucchini, also bland. Green curry beef was watery and beef was dry. A sad experience, we will not be ordering from here ever again.
The food was delicious. We ordered Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai, as well as Beef Chinese Broccoli. The protein was cooked perfectly and the portions were generous. My partner had visited a few weeks prior and mentioned that the restaurant also serves excellent Hot and Sour Soup, along with tempting lunch specials during the week.
During the pandemic, their hours for take out only are 5 PM to 9 PM Tuesday thru Sunday. The food is wonderful, if a little pricey. Dinner for three was around $50, without any drinks. We sent in the order by email, and they called back to ensure they had understood it correctly. Dinner was ready about twenty minutes later.
For lunch, we were given sets that were listed on a single-sided menu, offering choices of green, red, and yellow curry with spring rolls and salad as possible sides. Upon request, we were provided with a full menu that had a wide variety of appetizers, traditional Thai dishes, and desserts.
