This was my first experience at the Waikiki location. I've been to the original Roy's in Hawaii Kai and several of the Hawaiian Fusion locations on the mainland. The menus vary a bit and this location had a nice mix of options. The service was good, although a little slow. The food was delicious and everyone (party of 4) really enjoyed their meals. The portions were generous. The only real drawback was the noise level. There weren't any tables which were particularly loud but the building just seems to trap and echo noise. I would definitely come back but would try to request a booth along the back wall vice a table mid-dining room.
Went to Roy’s for my Anniversary dinner, everything was perfect!! Starting with Mike who made sure to give us an unforgettable experience, he needs a raise! The ribs are always perfect and a must try item, we also got the deep fried Ahi roll, bomb! The tiger prawns and crab stuffed dumplings are amazing!! For dessert the guava cheesecake was very good but the show stopper was the pineapple upside down cake with ice cream!! 10/10
Our server was excellent and very friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed the edamame they put on the table. My husband had an excellent snapper. I had the mahi with the macadamia crust. It didn't have a lot of taste and had very little macadamia crust/coating. I liked my husband's dish better. I did enjoy the restaurant though and would definitely return to dine again.
After going to Roy’s restaurants for over 35 years all over the US, Roy’s has always had exceptional food quality flavors, certainly Roy’s Waikiki is our favorite. In fact, it’s our favorite in Hawaii.

Everyone we interacted with was very nice and knowledgeable. We arrived and were seated right away. Our waiter was well versed on the menu options.
The food and atmosphere was fantastic. Are last dinner before leaving O’ahí. Saved the best for last. David was very attentive and helpful
