Waitress had an attitude. I tried makeing her laugh and I am always well mannered. She pretended to be nice but didn't really work. I feel like she was having a bad morning and taking it out on the diners. I was on my phone with earbuds in and she stood in front of me waiving her arms in the air and she wasn't going to stop till I acknowledged her all so she could ask me if I needed anything. That was the 4th time in 15 minutes. I get helping the customer but my plate was already taken away and l told her the other 3 times I was good.The Food was over priced for the portions. $3.50 extra for hashbrowns that took 6 bites to eat. Service and speed are top notch here. The food, not so much. We ordered an appetizer of onion rings and while they weren't bad, they had zero flavor to them. I ordered the breakfast shoe and everything tasted as if they cooked with sugar. Gravy, biscuits and the hashbrowns had a horrible sweet flavor. The bacon was cooked perfectly but I couldn't taste the eggs through the sweetness. If I wanted a sugary breakfast, I'd had ordered the pancakes. Not sure if there was a mistake in cooking today or what, but the food today definitely won't make us hurry back. Keep up the good customer service while trying to improve the product
If you know the dynamics of a horseshoe, you’ll sometimes find a so so pair of patties or other meat hidden by fries and a tone of cheese. There’s serious beef under there and incredibly friendly service. If you like the old school restaurant/diner feel, take a drive to Rte 138
Route 138 Cafe has the most amazing coconut cream pie that my daughter and I can’t pass up every time we drive down 55!! The staff is amazing and treats you like family! We just love the atmosphere and the maintenance of this restaurant. Thank you so much!

The staff are wonderful, it's become a regular place for us to eat. Good portions, food is delicious, and they offer a decent variety. Parking: Ipen parking lot, 2 entries/exits. Rock parking lot. Kid-friendliness: Nice kids menu.
Fantastic service, delicious food, and great prices! I've dined in and ordered takeout for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything I've tried has been amazing, but I especially recommend the fried chicken!
We eat for breakfast occasionally and the food and service is always great. It is are go to if we eat breakfast out.
I had the baked mostaccioli, and it was excellent. The waitress was very pleasant as well. Great job!
