It is difficult to understand why this restaurant has had such poor reviews. We had a delicious meal of exactly the type of food you would find in Shanghai or North-east China. It was spicy and oily, which is probably not to English taste, but is completely authentic. Three us paid £27 each for 4 dishes, rice and Qingdao beer, which seems (to me at least) excellent value. The service was friendly and helpful. This is a different dining experience to sweet and sour and other Anglicised favourites one finds in most Chinese restaurants in Britain and should be celebrated and enjoyed rather than criticised.
