The staff at this restaurant was incredible! They were friendly and helpful, working seamlessly as a team. I found the shrimp tempura and salmon rolls to be delicious, although they were smaller than I anticipated. The calamari impressed me, and the spicy mayo dressing had a fantastic flavor without being too hot. I was taken aback by the few customers present, suggesting that the community hasn't fully embraced the restaurant yet. This should serve as a wake-up call for the management! They need to understand what diners are seeking and gather feedback on how people feel about Sakura.

The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is friendly and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the drinks. The location is also a major plus. With a diverse menu, there's plenty to explore, so you're sure to find something delicious to try! I'll definitely be returning and will recommend it to my friends!
We had had a birthday party for my son with 18 people Dec 23. His wife ordered the sushi boat to get us started plus everyone ordered another meal. I was in heaven. The variety was incredible each one better than the next. It was the first time I ate as much sushi as I could!! The boat was emptied as the individual meals were served. This was by far the best meal I've had at any restaurant. It's to bad the scoring stops at 5.
This was the first place I ever tried sushi, almost 30 years ago when they were located in Galtier, and it remains one of my favorites. The chefs are true professionals. When you order Ama Ebi and they automatically include the heads, you know you're in for an authentic experience. I've probably visited this restaurant at least 75 times over the years, and I've never been disappointed.

okay, late review, but I love this restaurant, it was my first time here with my friends and the service and eating was excellent. I loved her drinks and sushi rolls. the price is somewhat high, but it is understandable for its location and for the quality of food. I will definitely recommend this place to others.
Visited for my first time last night and had a great experience. All of the food was super tasty and the staff was great at assisting and describing the different sauces and foods we tried. We tried some appetizers, sushi, and the hot pot. I will be back for sure to try more of the menu. Great experience.
The food is always consistently delicious and the drink specials are tasty. My roommates always order a sushi roll with their dinner and rave about how good they are. Sakura is a must go-to location for me, my friends and family. Love, love love it.
Classic St Paul sushi spot an absolute staple of the downtown scene. A great location for a fancy dinner out, or a casual business lunch. We always look to Sakura for a pre wild game bite. Never disappoints.

Waited over 1 and 1/2 hours for our food. Service was really poor. Owner was “sorry” but did not do a darn thing. So sad that this wonderful place which has been great for many years has gotten so bad.
Kind of a hidden gem in downtown St. Paul. My first visit and will definitely be back. We were well taken care of and the menu is really diverse. I tried many new things I hadn't before.
