This is the best pizza I've had in a long time! We ordered a Sals Stuffed and a Greek Lite. The Stuffed pizza had a very light red sauce that was superb, and all the ingredients blended perfectly together. The Greek Lite featured an olive oil sauce and grilled chicken, which was delightful. The crust was incredibly crisp and delicious. The service was excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised when the owner came to visit us; she's the sister-in-law of our waitress (I regret forgetting her name). Everyone was so friendly, and I loved the decor—it felt more like a cozy dining room in a home than a typical restaurant. In short, it felt very comfortable. We will definitely be back!
This was my first experience with Sal’s pizza, and I decided to try a 14-inch stuffed pizza, half cheese and half sausage with mushrooms. I hadn’t had any pizza in over a month (good pizza in over six months), so this really hit the spot! The crust was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, almost like a pretzel in texture (though not in flavor). They used just the right amount of cheese and had plenty of sauce on top. It reminded me a bit of grandma-style pizza, baked in a pan with a buttery crust and cut into rectangles, topped with sauce.
Sal's Pizza is a local family-owned restaurant. Their dining area has approximately 9 tables. It is clean and inviting. There is another room that can seat almost any size group. Very cozy and nice place. The food is great. I'm not a big pizza person but I love Sal's Pizza. It's absolutely perfect. Now the thing about Sal's is the family and employees that work there they are friendly, inviting and they go out of their way to make you happy. This is just a great Kenosha
I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. Tonight, I tried the deep dish pizza at Sals for the first time, and I have to say, it was incredible! Finally, someone has mastered the art of deep dish pizza. I'm already looking forward to enjoying the leftovers tomorrow. Great job, Sals! Sal's... Best pizza in Kenosha!! There I said it!! We did the stuffed pizza again, we're in heaven it is so good! Everything there is so good homemade too Like your nonna is making it for you! The whole staff is so nice and friendly too! The Italian salad is really good too. They do a xtra thin crust also, calzones,, meatball ,Italian beefs too,!
They always get it done good, i make my order, and give them a time of pick up, they will NOT make you wait, or steal your money, SAL 's is by far the best pizza place around my area, (Zion,IL) and for sure beats down the big corps . Plenty of parking for you to pick up, great service, will keep dropping my money for days to come 100% worth it.
